Aritzia Return Policy: 14-Day Refunds, 30-Day Credit and Sale Rules

Aritzia’s US return policy gives regular-priced items 14 days for a refund to your original payment and 30 days for exchange or merchandise credit, counted from shipping online and purchase in boutiques. Sale items discounted under 50% get 14 days for exchange or credit only; items 50% or more off are final sale.

The return policy Aritzia publishes for US orders covers direct website, Aritzia App, Google checkout and US boutique purchases; independent resale sellers and Archive Sale terms fall outside this guide.

Key facts

  • Aritzia requires unwashed, unworn, undamaged items with original tags and a valid receipt; swimwear needs its liner and shoes their original box.
  • FedEx mail returns have an $8 plus tax deduction for guest checkout; purchases checked out while signed in have no postage deduction.
  • Final sale includes 50%-off-or-more items, intimates and shapewear, hosiery, and The Super Puff Personalized.
  • Online orders can go back by mail or to a boutique; boutique purchases can go to any boutique in the purchase country.
  • Aritzia lists 7–10 business days for processing after receipt, then typically 7–10 business days for posting; its FAQ words timing differently.

How Long Do You Have to Return Something to Aritzia?

Aritzia allows 14 days for a refund and 30 days for exchange or merchandise credit on eligible regular-priced items. Online windows start at shipping, not delivery; boutique windows start at purchase, under the US returns policy.

Aritzia doesn’t define calendar versus business days, inclusive counting, time zone or cutoff for these windows. Return several days early. For a 14-day mail return, the FAQ requires postmark and dispatch within the period; see the FedEx steps below.

What happens between day 15 and day 30?

Aritzia’s ordinary refund window has closed, but eligible regular-priced items can still receive exchange or merchandise credit. The policy doesn’t say whether day 30 requires a request, postmark or warehouse arrival: drop off well before day 30, preferably within 14 days when possible. After day 30, Aritzia’s FAQ says online returns are no longer accepted.

Shoppers deciding where to buy can compare Zara’s return windows with Aritzia’s split refund and credit windows.

Pickup orders and split shipments

Aritzia doesn’t publish a return-clock start for Buy Online, Pick Up In Store, or an item-specific clock for split shipments. As a precaution, count from the earliest shipping date shown on the order and ask Concierge about unclear dates. Aritzia asks shoppers to try to use one return box per order, including items that shipped separately.

Is there an Aritzia holiday return extension for 2026?

As of October 28, 2026, Aritzia’s US returns page and FAQ publish no 2026–27 holiday extension or seasonal blackout, for regular-price or sale purchases. Use the standard 14- and 30-day windows unless Aritzia announces different terms, and don’t rely on dates from earlier seasons.

Can You Return Aritzia Sale Items?

Yes—eligible Aritzia sale items discounted under 50% have 14 days for exchange or merchandise credit: from shipping online, or purchase in a boutique. No ordinary original-payment refund applies. At 50% or more off, the item is final sale.

Boutique sale purchases aren’t automatically final sale: the same under-50% rule applies, subject to the category exclusions below.

Example: Assume an item originally cost $100, now costs $60, and belongs to no other final-sale category. Its discount is ($100 − $60) ÷ $100 = 40%, so the 14-day exchange/credit rule applies. At $50, the discount reaches exactly 50% and the item is final sale.

Readers comparing apparel brands can consult Lululemon’s sale and final-sale return rules. At Aritzia, condition and category exclusions also determine eligibility.

What Condition Do Aritzia Returns Need to Be In?

Aritzia requires ordinary returns and exchanges to be unwashed, unworn and undamaged, with original tags attached and a valid receipt. Its return conditions also require an attached swimwear liner and the original shoe box.

Aritzia publishes no universal sealed-packaging or accessories checklist. Mail instructions recommend secure packing, including saved Aritzia packaging; check the category exceptions before packing.

Final sale and other exceptions

Aritzia excludes these items from ordinary returns and exchanges:

  • Goods discounted 50% or more.
  • Intimates and shapewear.
  • Hosiery.
  • The Super Puff Personalized.

Gift cards themselves aren’t refundable or redeemable for cash unless law requires it. Special Orders are preorders/backorders, with cancellation through Concierge; their FAQ gives no separate post-delivery return exception.

The current US policy doesn’t publish every extra exclusion quoted in older guides. Check the product or order for a final-sale marking. Independent resale purchases aren’t covered here; Archive Sale has separate terms to check when purchasing.

Can You Return to Aritzia Without a Receipt?

Aritzia’s US policy requires a valid receipt for all ordinary returns and exchanges and publishes no alternative. Aritzia doesn’t publish a card or ID lookup, a gift-receipt outcome, or whether an order confirmation email can replace a receipt.

For online orders, open Order History or, for guests, Order Tracking. For a boutique purchase with a lost receipt, contact Concierge before traveling; don’t assume credit will be offered.

How to Return an Aritzia Order

Aritzia accepts eligible online orders by mail or in a boutique. Use the official return instructions and the entry point matching your checkout method.

Return an online order by mail with FedEx

Both FedEx options need a packed parcel: the QR code replaces the printed label, not the box.

  1. Open Order History for account purchases. Guests and Google checkout buyers use Order Tracking.
  2. Select Return Items, review and process the return, then keep the emailed confirmation.
  3. Try to pack all returned items from one order in one box, even if they shipped separately; the return label must match that order. If one box isn’t practical, or you’re returning items from several orders, contact Concierge first.
  4. Choose the FedEx option: show the confirmation QR code with the packed parcel, or print the label from order details.
  5. Drop off at FedEx. For the 14-day refund route, Aritzia’s FAQ says the package must be postmarked and sent within 14 days.

If the order didn’t ship by FedEx, call Concierge at 1-855-274-8942 for a label. Concierge also offers live chat, when available, and an Email Us option on its Contact Us page. Keep the drop-off proof and confirmation email. Requesting a return on day 14 and mailing it later doesn’t satisfy the published dispatch instruction.

Home pickup, independent labels and a warehouse address aren’t published options; ask Concierge before using another method.

Return in an Aritzia boutique

Aritzia accepts eligible online purchases in boutiques. Boutique purchases can go to any boutique in the same country—a US purchase doesn’t have to return to its original store.

Bring the eligible merchandise and valid receipt. PayPal and Klarna payments have different boutique outcomes, detailed below. Mailing a boutique purchase back isn’t described; ask Concierge rather than assuming the online procedure applies.

Cancel within 30 minutes instead

Aritzia permits ordinary-order cancellation within 30 minutes through Order History or Order Tracking, with Concierge help during service hours. Special Order cancellation goes through Concierge. If cancellation isn’t available, return eligibility and postage rules become relevant.

Does Aritzia Charge for Returns?

Aritzia deducts $8 plus applicable taxes from guest-checkout mail refunds. Purchases checked out while signed in to an Aritzia account have no postage deduction, according to the mail-return policy. Creating an account afterward isn’t a stated exemption.

Aritzia doesn’t publish the fee unit, repeat-label charges or Google checkout guest-fee treatment. Its return pages list no restocking or boutique fee; that doesn’t establish every return is free. Refundability of original shipping charges is unpublished. Ask Concierge about unclear costs before shipping.

Example: Assume a guest-checkout mail return of one eligible $100 item and a single $8 deduction. The refund would be $92, less any tax Aritzia charges on the fee. This illustrates the deduction; it isn’t a refund quote or a per-item rate.

Compare Reformation’s return-postage rules if weighing another fashion retailer. Eligible Aritzia online exchanges include free shipping and a free return label, with separate payment mechanics.

How Do Aritzia Online Exchanges Work?

Aritzia’s signed-in exchange flow lets shoppers choose another size, color or length and requires a default credit card. Aritzia charges that card when the replacement ships, then refunds the original payment after receiving and processing the original item, under its online exchange instructions.

In Order History, open the order details, select Start a Return or Exchange, choose the item and replacement, confirm the details, then submit. An out-of-stock original item isn’t eligible. Shipping and the return label are free; mail the original or take it to a boutique with the exchange confirmation email. No separate original-item dispatch deadline is published: send promptly and ask Concierge if unclear.

Example: Assume an eligible exchange for a $120 replacement with a default card on file. The card is charged $120 at shipment; the original refund follows processing, so both amounts can be out at once. Your original payment method also affects the return route.

PayPal, Klarna and Gift Card Refunds

Aritzia’s payment-specific return rules change the refund destination by method. The table assumes the merchandise qualifies for the requested outcome and window.

Paid with Mail return Boutique return
PayPal Refund to PayPal Exchange or merchandise credit
Klarna Refund to Klarna account Credit/debit card refund, exchange or merchandise credit; Klarna installments may remain due
Gift card Merchandise credit onto a gift card Merchandise credit onto a gift card
Card Original-payment refund Original-payment refund

Merchandise credit arrives as an eGift Card emailed to the order’s email address; delivery timing isn’t published. If it doesn’t arrive, search your inbox for the subject “Aritzia sent you a Gift Card” before contacting Concierge. Gift-card split-tender allocation is also unpublished; ask Concierge about a partly gift-card-paid order.

Aritzia’s returns policy describes app Klarna purchases, while its Klarna page says the app doesn’t offer Klarna: the pages word app availability differently. Check your order’s payment details or ask Concierge before choosing a route.

For an eligible PayPal- or Klarna-account refund, mail the return.

When Will You Get Your Aritzia Refund?

Aritzia’s main policy gives 7–10 business days after parcel receipt for processing, followed by typically 7–10 business days for the refund to appear. Some financial institutions take longer.

Stage Official timing Source
Return eligibility 14 days for regular-price refund; 30 for exchange/credit, from shipping online or purchase in a boutique US policy
Aritzia processing 7–10 business days after receipt; completion emailed US policy
Bank/card posting Typically 7–10 business days after issue; some institutions take longer US policy
eGift Card delivery Not published US policy

The main returns page separates processing and posting; the FAQ instead says refunds can take 10–14 days to issue during safety precautions, without defining the day unit or trigger. The pages word timing differently. Keep FedEx proof and the confirmation; if no processing-complete email arrives after 7–10 business days from delivery to Aritzia, contact Concierge. Check the completion email for your order, or ask Concierge for its current refund status and timing estimate.

Example: Assume Aritzia has received the parcel and both main-page ranges run consecutively. Their sum is 14–20 business days, excluding FedEx transit. That arithmetic isn’t a guaranteed arrival time. Damaged or defective deliveries need the separate support route below.

Damaged, Defective or Wrong Aritzia Items

Aritzia’s FAQ asks shoppers with an online defect to describe it when selecting the return reason. For a damaged parcel, Aritzia says to accept delivery and contact Concierge; unauthorized refusal makes the shopper responsible for all shipping charges.

Reporting deadlines, required photos, fee waivers, warranty terms and promised remedies—including faulty final-sale items—aren’t published in these instructions. For defective or wrong items, ask Concierge before shipping.

Public pages don’t settle a single refund timeline, the day-30 deadline action, no-receipt outcomes, faulty-item remedies or Archive Sale return rules. This guide can’t promise those outcomes; see how StoreReturners checks policies. Federal and state rights for defective goods are covered next.

Does US law give you extra time to return Aritzia items?

The FTC Cooling-Off Rule doesn’t add time for ordinary Aritzia purchases: it excludes sales made entirely online and sales negotiated at a seller’s permanent place of business.

Defect and warranty rights are separate from change-of-mind returns and depend on state law. The FTC’s warranty guidance says a company may have an opportunity to repair before refunding. Neither point replaces the practical deadline checks below.

Mistakes to Avoid With the Return Policy Aritzia Publishes

Aritzia shoppers can avoid these errors by checking the shipping date, dispatch requirement, checkout status, payment method and item condition:

  • Counting 14 days from delivery instead of shipping for online orders.
  • Requesting a refund return on day 14 but mailing it later.
  • Checking out as a guest and expecting the signed-in postage waiver.
  • Taking PayPal or Klarna purchases to a boutique expecting that account to be refunded.
  • Washing an item or removing tags before deciding to keep it.

For another retailer, use the US store return-policy guides to check its own rules.

FAQ

Does creating an Aritzia account after a guest order remove the $8 return fee?

Aritzia ties the postage waiver to being signed in when checking out. Opening an account later isn’t a stated exemption. Guest mail returns have $8 plus applicable taxes deducted from the refund; check the checkout status on your order before assuming the deduction will be waived.

Can I return Aritzia swimwear or shoes?

Aritzia requires swimwear’s liner to remain attached and shoes to have their original box, alongside ordinary condition, receipt and window rules. The current US policy lists no online-only swimwear restriction. Check the product or order for a final-sale marking rather than assuming every item qualifies.

Does Aritzia charge a restocking fee?

Aritzia’s public return pages list no restocking fee. The quantified ordinary return charge is the $8 plus tax guest mail deduction, with a waiver for purchases checked out while signed in. Absence of a published restocking charge isn’t a guarantee about every possible cost; ask Concierge if unclear.

Can I return an Aritzia gift card for cash?

Aritzia says gift cards cannot be refunded or redeemed for cash unless law requires it. Returning eligible merchandise originally bought with a gift card is a separate transaction: the refund goes back as merchandise credit onto a gift card. The policy doesn’t establish a general cash-refund option.

Is an Aritzia Special Order final sale?

Aritzia describes Special Orders as preorders or backorders; its Special Order FAQ gives no distinct post-delivery return exception. Request cancellation through Concierge. The Super Puff Personalized appears on the final-sale list, but that doesn’t make every Special Order final sale. Check your specific item’s eligibility and marking.

Can I return Aritzia items bought from a resale site or in the Archive Sale?

Aritzia’s direct-purchase policy doesn’t establish return rights for independent resale sellers. Ask the seller about its terms. Aritzia’s Archive Sale has its own terms; check them at purchase rather than applying the standard discount rules. This guide doesn’t summarize Archive Sale return rules.
