How Long Do You Have to Return Something to Revolve?
Revolve gives eligible online orders 30 days from shipment for refunds and 60 days for exchanges, for orders shipped on or after May 1, 2024. Store purchases have 30 days from purchase.
The standard policy doesn’t define calendar versus business days or whether starting, shipping or warehouse receipt completes the deadline. Start and ship well before day 30; keep the carrier receipt.
Example: Assume an eligible order arrives five days after shipment. The days in transit count against the window, and because Revolve doesn’t publish its counting rules, there is no exact last day to calculate.
Before ordering elsewhere, compare the Princess Polly return policy, including its clock trigger.
Does the Revolve return window start at shipping or delivery?
Shipping. Use the ship date in your shipping confirmation or order history, not the delivery date, when you work out your window or ask support about eligibility.
Is there a 2026 holiday return extension at Revolve?
As of October 28, 2026, Revolve hadn’t published a 2026-dated holiday return extension. Its undated holiday clause names November 1 to December 25 and allows returns after 30 days if Revolve receives them by January 10. It gives no year and doesn’t say whether those dates refer to purchase, shipment or delivery. The linked holiday shipping calendar still says 2025.
Don’t plan around January 10, 2027 unless Revolve confirms it. Return within the normal window or ask customer service, and recheck when Revolve updates its seasonal wording. Unlike the standard policy, which doesn’t define its deadline action, this clause requires receipt.
What Condition Do Revolve Returns Need to Be In?
Revolve requires ordinary returns to be unworn, unwashed, undamaged and unused, with original tags attached. Its condition rules add category requirements:
- Shoes: return the undamaged original shoebox; try shoes on carpet.
- Swimwear and lingerie: try on over underwear, keeping the protective slip intact.
- Tops and dresses: avoid makeup and deodorant marks.
- Store returns: include all tags and accessories; original packaging helps processing.
Happy Returns needs no outer shipping box, but still requires product packaging and tags. These serve different purposes.
How to Return a Revolve Online Order
Choose prepaid mail, eligible Happy Returns or a store based on item restrictions, printer and box availability.
| Route | Cost | What you need | Start where | Not for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $0 supplied label | Packed items, label | Order/account | Store purchases | |
| Happy Returns | Free | QR code, product packaging, tags | Link on returns page | Six excluded categories below |
| Store | No postage | Items, tags, accessories | Revolve store | Ineligible/FINAL SALE items |
Before you start:
- Find the purchase in order history, or use Find Your Order with the order number, shipping ZIP code and email.
- Check the item designation and condition; FINAL SALE doesn’t qualify.
- Choose an eligible route. Exchanging? Reserve the replacement through order history or customer service before you mail or drop off the items. If uncertain, contact Revolve at 1-888-442-5830 or sales@revolve.com before sending anything.
Mailing your return with Revolve’s prepaid label
Revolve’s mail instructions use the free domestic label supplied with your order.
- Pack the eligible items, preserving their required product packaging.
- Attach the prepaid label. If missing, generate a replacement through order history; support can email an exchange label.
- Drop off the parcel or use the regular pickup for the carrier printed on that label. Keep the tracking number and receipt.
Revolve’s instructions name UPS in one place and FedEx in another, so hand the parcel to the carrier printed on your label.
Using a Happy Returns Return Bar
Follow the partner link in Revolve’s Happy Returns instructions: start online, get a QR code and bring eligible items to a Return Bar. No printer or outer box needed; retain product packaging and tags.
The six excluded categories are fragrances, nail polish, batteries, aerosols, alcohol-based liquids and luggage. These exclusions concern this method; they don’t make an item final sale. Ask support which route applies before sending an excluded item.
US item limits, drop-off refund speed and pickup fees aren’t published. Confirm restrictions before traveling; don’t expect immediate refunds.
Returning an online order to a Revolve store
Revolve lets you return eligible online orders to a store. Bring the items, tags and accessories; original packaging helps processing under the store instructions. The in-store refund timeline isn’t published, so ask the store before choosing this route for speed.
Can you put returns from two Revolve orders in one box?
Yes: Revolve’s FAQ allows same-email orders together with order numbers inside. Different-account orders need separate parcels and corresponding labels.
Example: Assume two eligible orders share one email account. Pack them together and include both order numbers; don’t combine a friend’s different-account purchase.
Can You Mail Back a Revolve Store Purchase?
No. Revolve requires store purchases to be returned in a store, within 30 days of purchase, in original condition with tags and accessories. The store policy prohibits mailing them to the online return center.
A store no-receipt rule, separate store exchange window and store refund timeline aren’t published. Keep the receipt and ask the store about missing proof or timing.
Are Revolve Returns Free?
Yes: Revolve’s supplied US prepaid label costs $0, and Happy Returns is free. Original expedited-delivery charges aren’t refunded. Reimbursement of self-purchased postage and refunds of other paid shipping aren’t published; use the supplied label.
Revolve’s current US returns, FAQ, terms and loyalty pages don’t publish a restocking or high-return fee schedule. That silence doesn’t establish that no fee exists. The Loyalty Club terms allow disqualification for excessive returns and cancellation of unredeemed points and Rewards, without a numeric threshold.
Example: Assume $120 of eligible merchandise plus $20 expedited delivery, returned using Revolve’s label. The label costs $0; the $20 delivery charge isn’t refunded. That doesn’t calculate a net refund, because tax and payment allocation aren’t specified.
When Will You Get Your Revolve Refund?
Revolve processes domestic returns 2–3 business days after facility arrival; its FAQ then gives credit-card posting another 3–5 business days, depending on the bank. The returns policy describes posting as several business days.
| Stage | What Revolve says | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Eligibility window | Online clock starts at shipment; completion action unstated | 30 days for refund |
| Return transit | Facility-bound travel | Not published |
| Revolve processing | Starts after facility arrival; refund email follows | 2–3 business days |
| Credit-card posting | After refund issue | 3–5 business days |
| Zip installment adjustment | Zip adjusts your payment schedule; a full-order return cancels remaining installments | Within 13 days after Zip receives funds from Revolve |
| PayPal, other BNPL or debit posting | Not stated on the pages reviewed | Not published |
Example: Assume an accepted domestic card return needing no extra review. Adding 2–3 and 3–5 gives about 5–8 business days after arrival. This derived estimate excludes transit and isn’t Revolve’s guarantee. FWRD Renew authentication can add time.
If the refund looks short, compare the refund email with what you paid, the payment method used and any expedited-delivery charge, which Revolve doesn’t refund. If the difference remains, email sales@revolve.com with the order number and ask for a written breakdown.
Track through order history and the return tracking number, or the FAQ’s Return Status form using order number, ZIP and email.
Where does a Revolve refund go?
Revolve normally refunds the original payment method unless you request store credit, according to its FAQ. Store-credit payments return as store credit; gift cards and certificates refund to the original card or certificate.
How Instant Return Credit works
Revolve offers optional Instant Return Credit to eligible customers; it is nontransferable, capped at $500 and valid for 2 days. Value reflects the paid price after discounts, coupons, fees or reductions.
Ship promptly using Revolve’s label and specified courier. Reserved replacements are processed for shipment after Revolve verifies carrier receipt. A failed condition inspection can revoke credit and trigger a charge to the original payment method. If the replacement costs more than the credit, you pay the difference separately, and reserved items won’t ship if you don’t hand the return to the carrier unless you pay for them.
Revolve’s terms word unused-credit release in two ways: a refund to the original payment method after two days, and a refund after receipt and processing of the return. Use credit within two days if wanted; otherwise, expect money only after receipt and processing. Your confirmation email or customer service supplies the binding answer for your order.
Loyalty Club points and Rewards on returns
Revolve deducts earned points, including bonus points, when merchandise returns; balances can become negative. Under the Loyalty Club terms, an order’s Rewards-funded value is credited before other payment methods are refunded.
A negative balance may receive point-value credit instead; a closed account forfeits Rewards-funded value. Tier-based extensions aren’t published.
How Do Revolve Exchanges Work?
Revolve supports eligible online exchanges within 60 days of shipment. Reserve an in-stock replacement through order history or support; preorders cannot be reserved. The FAQ allows 2–3 business days after return arrival for processing and shipment, followed by a shipping notification.
For ordinary exchanges, price differences, reservation duration and fees beyond the free label aren’t published; ask before committing. Beauty and bridal limits remain 30 days. Unlike ordinary exchanges, Instant Return Credit uses carrier receipt to release replacements for shipment.

Items Revolve Won’t Take Back, or Limits More Tightly
Revolve won’t accept FINAL SALE items for ordinary refunds, exchanges or store credit. Its exclusions apply to marked items, not every discount. A separate customized/personalized-goods rule isn’t published; ask before ordering.
For designer purchases elsewhere, compare the Saks Fifth Avenue return policy, particularly final-sale conditions.
Beauty, bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses
Revolve’s category rules distinguish three situations:
- Beauty: 30 days (the clause doesn’t say from when), unused and unopened; opened, used or broken-seal products cannot receive refunds. Don’t apply the general 60-day exchange window.
- Bridal gowns: 30 days for refund or credit; unworn, unaltered and tagged. The category clause doesn’t state a separate start event; ask support if unclear.
- Bridesmaid dresses: special orders of three or more in one style are final sale. Revolve suggests trying an in-stock size first.
Example: Assume three same-style dresses are a special order: they meet that final-sale trigger. Three ordinary in-stock dresses aren’t automatically final sale because of quantity; item designations still govern.
FWRD Renew pre-owned items
Revolve lists a 14-day FWRD Renew rule under In Store Returns, requiring original tags, packaging and accessories. Authentication precedes refund and can add time.
Revolve doesn’t say when the 14 days start or whether the rule covers Renew items bought online. Ask fwrdrenew@fwrd.com for your order’s terms rather than assuming purchase or delivery starts the period.
Returning a Revolve Gift or an Order Without an Invoice
Revolve no longer includes paper invoices, according to its FAQ. Retrieve yours through My Orders → order number → View Invoice. Customers without accounts can ask support or identify an order through Find Your Order using order number, shipping ZIP and email.
Revolve doesn’t publish a way to replace a lost store receipt, look up a purchase by ID or card statement, or return without proof of purchase. Keep store receipts and ask support if yours is missing.
How do you return a gift from Revolve?
Revolve’s gift-return process starts with customer service, which supplies a label. After receipt and processing, store credit goes to the email you provide.
Once the gift-return email is updated, notifications go there, keeping those updates away from the buyer’s email; Revolve doesn’t say whether the buyer can still see the order in their own account. Eligibility still applies.
Damaged, Missing or Defective Revolve Items
Report arrival damage to customer service immediately: 1-888-442-5830 or sales@revolve.com. Terms section 4.6 requires notice of visible damage or order errors as soon as possible, within 15 days after carrier delivery; latent damage is excepted.
Photo requirements, faulty-item postage reimbursement, a guaranteed final-sale defect override and remedy turnaround aren’t published. Ask support for instructions before sending a faulty item.
How long do you have to report a missing Revolve item?
Revolve’s FAQ and shipping help say within 30 days of shipment; Terms section 4.6 instead requires notice of shipping errors and damaged or missing products within 15 days after carrier delivery. The pages word it differently.
Inspect the parcel on arrival and report missing contents straight away. Until Revolve clarifies, act before whichever published limit comes first: 15 days after delivery or 30 days after shipment. For a parcel that never arrived, contact customer service promptly and within 30 days of shipment. Customer service (1-888-442-5830, sales@revolve.com) confirms the binding deadline for your order.
Revolve’s 90-day limited warranty
Revolve’s Terms section 6 provides a 90-day-from-purchase warranty for manufacturing, material or workmanship defects under normal use. Misuse, accidents and improper care are excluded; replacement or refund is subject to return requirements and verification.
This isn’t a worn-item change-of-mind window. After 90 days, repair help is discretionary, potentially involving the designer; replacement/refund isn’t guaranteed. Pre-owned claims go to FWRD Renew.
Your rights beyond Revolve’s policy
The FTC Cooling-Off Rule doesn’t cover purchases made entirely online, by mail or by phone, or ordinary purchases at a seller’s permanent place of business; it adds no extra return time here.
For undelivered or unaccepted orders a seller won’t refund, the FTC identifies payment-charge disputes. Keep receipts and confirmation emails; success isn’t guaranteed. Avoid delaying a retailer report while considering escalation.
Return Policy for Revolve: Mistakes to Avoid
- Count online days from shipment, not delivery.
- Return store purchases in store; don’t mail them.
- Preserve shoeboxes and beauty seals before deciding to keep items.
- Don’t budget for expedited-delivery charges coming back.
- Don’t plan on an unconfirmed January 10, 2027 holiday deadline.
- Report arrival damage immediately, within the 15-day outer limit.
Revolve’s public pages leave deadline actions, Happy Returns limits, unused-credit cash timing and FWRD Renew’s start event unsettled. This source-based guide compares official policy, help and terms; how we check retailer policies explains the method. Confirm unresolved details with support before choosing a route or relying on a refund date.
FAQ
Can you return swimwear or lingerie to Revolve?
Yes, eligible Revolve swimwear and lingerie can be returned unless marked FINAL SALE. Revolve says to try them on over underwear with the protective slip intact. Standard unworn, unwashed, undamaged, unused and tagged conditions still apply; the hygiene requirements don’t create a blanket ban on these categories.
Can you return Revolve shoes without the box?
Revolve requires the undamaged original shoebox to accompany returned shoes. Its condition instructions recommend trying shoes on carpet. Choosing Happy Returns doesn’t remove product-packaging requirements, so don’t discard the shoebox because you won’t need an outer mailing box. Ask customer service about missing or damaged packaging before returning.
Do Revolve Loyalty Club members get longer to return?
Revolve doesn’t publish a longer return window or different return fee for Insider, Star, VIP or Elite members in the reviewed returns and membership pages. Don’t assume status extends your deadline. Check any order-specific offer with customer service; returning merchandise can also affect points and Rewards balances.
How do you check the status of a Revolve return?
Use Revolve order history and your return tracking number, or the public Return Status form in its FAQ, which asks for order number, ZIP code and email. Revolve emails when processing finishes and the refund is issued. That issue email doesn’t mean your bank has already posted the credit.
What if you sent Revolve something that isn’t from Revolve?
The return policy for Revolve says Revolve isn’t responsible for non-REVOLVE goods sent by mistake. Contact customer service promptly with order and tracking details. Don’t assume the ordinary refund process covers the unrelated item or guarantees its recovery; support must address the accidental shipment separately.
