Bershka Returns Policy UK: 30 Days, Fees and Refunds
The Bershka returns policy for UK website and app orders allows 30 days from the Shipping Confirmation email, with handover required within that time. Returning to a Bershka store is free; Bershka’s UK help lists £1.95 for Post Office or Royal Mail drop-off and £6.95 for home collection, deducted from the refund.
Key facts
- Deadline: items must reach a store, courier or drop-off point within 30 days of the Shipping Confirmation, not delivery.
- Costs: store returns are free; UK help lists £1.95 per drop-off return and £6.95 per collection.
- Refunds: go to the original payment method. Bershka’s terms promise them within 14 days of your cancellation notice, but Bershka can wait until it receives the items or proof you sent them.
- Exclusions: help lists lingerie, earrings, hair accessories and hats/caps; terms instead make hygiene exclusions conditional on unsealing and also exclude personalised goods.
- Faults: contact customer service first on 0808 234 0209; a confirmed defect gets a full refund including delivery charges.
These rules cover Bershka UK website and app orders, sold by ITX UK Limited. Bershka does not publish a return window for ordinary in-store purchases. For other retailers, browse our UK store return guides.

How Long Do You Have to Return to Bershka?
Bershka gives UK website and app orders 30 days from the Shipping Confirmation email. Under clause 16 of the UK terms, notify Bershka and physically hand over the items within that period: to a store, its courier or a drop-off point.
Use the return request or contact Bershka through its form, phone or email. Bershka does not define calendar versus working days, day one or the final time-of-day cut-off. Hand items over several days early to avoid the counting uncertainty.
Does the 30 days start from delivery?
No. Bershka’s voluntary window starts from the Shipping Confirmation, so time in transit uses part of that allowance. The separate legal cancellation period runs from delivery: generally 14 days to notify cancellation, then another 14 days to send items back; split orders use the last delivery.
Example: assume the shipping email arrives on day 0 and delivery on day 3. Bershka’s clock still starts with the email; the legal clock starts with delivery. Rely on whichever separate right still applies, subject to the conditions below.
What counts as returning in time?
Physical handover counts, rather than paperwork alone. Creating a request while the parcel remains at home does not meet Bershka’s voluntary deadline.
Bershka may refuse late returns; discretionary acceptance after 30 days leads to a voucher, excluding faulty-on-purchase items.
Bershka shop purchases
Bershka’s UK terms and help do not publish ordinary walk-in purchases’ return window, start event, methods or refund rules. Check the receipt or ask in store; do not apply the online clock automatically.
Digital receipts can support store returns, subject to the applicable policy, as explained below. UK law gives no general change-of-mind refund right for in-person purchases; faults follow different rules.
Is there a Bershka Christmas return extension for 2026?
As of 28 October 2026, Bershka’s UK terms and help publish no 2026 Christmas extension. A later announcement is still possible.
Assume the standard online window for gifts ordered now, and recheck Bershka’s returns help before relying on extra time.
How Much Does a Bershka Return Cost?
Bershka’s UK help lists free store returns, £1.95 per drop-off return and £6.95 per home collection. Both parcel charges are deducted from the refund; a second drop-off from the same order costs another £1.95.
Bershka does not publish a per-item fee, how charges apply to several boxes under one request, or any member or first-return exemption. Ask customer service before splitting a return.
Self-arranged postage is at your cost. If you send freight-collect or cash on delivery, Bershka can pass on its costs. No flat restocking fee is published; handling that reduces an item’s value can cause a separate deduction.
Example: assume £50 of eligible items, the listed fees and no other deductions or delivery reimbursement.
| Return choice | Calculation | Item refund |
|---|---|---|
| One drop-off | £50 − £1.95 | £48.05 |
| One collection | £50 − £6.95 | £43.05 |
| Two separate drop-offs from one order | £50 − (2 × £1.95) | £46.10 total |
Collection leaves £5 less than one drop-off. Two boxes under one request are a different case: Bershka does not publish that fee calculation. For another high-street comparison, read our Zara UK return-fee guide.
Do you get the original delivery charge back?
Yes, for a qualifying statutory withdrawal returning every item from the relevant parcel. Bershka’s terms reimburse the cheapest standard delivery charge, excluding an express-service supplement.
Original-delivery refunds on partial returns or returns relying only on the extra voluntary days are not published. Ask Bershka before counting delivery in your expected refund.
How to Return a Bershka Order
Bershka offers store returns, labelled drop-off and arranged home collection. For parcel returns, open UK returns help, use your account or the guest-order entry, and request each order separately. Follow box-specific instructions and do not mix different orders in one parcel.
Return to a Bershka store
Choose a store to avoid the listed parcel charges.
- Find a branch using the UK store locator.
- Open the Shipping Confirmation e-ticket, saved in your account/app, or print it.
- Take the item and e-ticket to the store within the window.
Cost and proof: free, with the item and e-ticket. Watch out: UK help requires the item’s women’s or men’s department; the terms word it more broadly: any Bershka UK store. Pick a branch carrying the department and contact customer service before travelling if unsure. Your order’s instructions or customer service provide the binding answer.
Post Office or Royal Mail drop-off
Choose drop-off if no Bershka store carrying the item’s department is within reach; it is the cheaper parcel route.
- Request the return in My Account → Returns, or use your confirmation-email link.
- Obtain the retailer-issued prepaid label.
- Pack in the package the items arrived in and attach the label.
- Hand the parcel to a UK Post Office or Royal Mail site within the window.
Cost and proof: UK help lists £1.95 deducted per return; follow the issued label instructions. Watch out: no printer-free label option is published. You need no printed receipt, but that does not remove the label requirement.
Home courier collection
Choose collection only if you cannot reach a store or a Post Office or Royal Mail site; it is the most expensive route.
- Arrange collection through Your Account → Returns on the website/app, or the guest email link.
- Pack the items in their original package and follow the collection instructions.
- Hand the parcel to the courier within the window.
Cost and proof: UK help lists £6.95 deducted per return; use your order instructions and original package. Watch out: Bershka’s UK help says the courier collects the next day and that, if nobody is in, you are sent a drop-off label instead; follow your booking instructions. Booking alone does not meet the handover deadline, so book several days before the window ends.
Can you return a Bershka order without an account?
Yes. Guests can use return links in order, dispatch or delivery confirmation emails, or Find your order / Return as a guest. The terms name different confirmation emails for collection and drop-off; check the messages for your order rather than registering solely to return it.
Orders placed on a store device and paid at the till
Bershka requires these orders to go back to a UK store, with no collection or drop-off option. Both conditions must apply: ordering on an in-store device and paying at its till. Have the e-ticket ready before travelling.
Can You Return to Bershka Without a Receipt?
Bershka requires purchase proof for its documented routes, but paper is unnecessary. The UK purchase and app terms describe these alternatives:
- Online e-ticket: show the Shipping Confirmation ticket on your phone or print it.
- Digital receipt QR ID: for shop purchases, enable Digital receipt before paying and show the app QR ID at purchase; later returns remain subject to policy.
- Scanned paper receipt: digitise it using its printed QR code for in-store returns, subject to policy.
- Search for receipt: Bershka provides an official receipt finder; its required details and receipt coverage could not be verified.
No voluntary route without any purchase record is published. Do not expect ID-only returns, card lookup or automatic store credit. For a statutory claim, other proof such as a bank statement can count.
Bershka Refunds: How Long Do They Take?
Bershka’s terms promise refunds as soon as possible and within 14 days of cancellation notice, but allow withholding until the goods or sufficient dispatch proof arrive, whichever comes first. Standard refunds use the original payment method after examination.
| Stage | Published timing |
|---|---|
| Return window | 30 days from Shipping Confirmation, with physical handover required |
| Bershka processing | Within 14 days of notice, subject to goods/dispatch-proof withholding; separate inspection turnaround: Not published |
| Bank / PayPal posting | Not published; check with your provider |
The statutory reimbursement clock differs: without a trader collection offer, reimbursement is due without undue delay and within 14 days of the goods or earlier dispatch evidence; otherwise generally within 14 days of notice. Do not turn Bershka’s notice-based promise into “14 days after warehouse arrival”.
Gift receipts, gift cards and late returns
Bershka refunds gift-receipt returns as a credit receipt or voucher; no separate gift deadline is published. Goods paid for with a Bershka Gift Card restore its balance, which cannot be cashed out. The UK gift-card page does not supply the separate terms for returning a gift card itself.
Accepted late returns receive a discretionary voucher; items defective when bought are excluded from that rule.
Can You Exchange a Bershka Order?
Do not count on a direct exchange: Bershka’s pages disagree. The help’s Products answer allows size/colour swaps in store within 30 days of Shipping Confirmation; its F.A.Q. says online purchases can only be returned. Terms clause 12 additionally limits size changes to Bershka items paid for by Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
Plan to return and reorder. If trying a store swap, stay inside the 30 days and expect only those card payments to qualify; the store or customer service must confirm availability. Exchange fees, stock reservations and price differences are unpublished. Compare our H&M UK exchange guidance if weighing size-swap options elsewhere.
What Bershka Won’t Take Back
Bershka’s terms require change-of-mind returns to be:
- Unworn except for trying on; clean, undamaged, unwashed and unaltered, with labels intact.
- Returned with special packaging and accessories, such as fabric bags, special boxes and suit carriers, in the same condition.
- Bershka’s UK help adds category rules: packs returned complete in their original packaging; accessories unused with complete packaging; swimwear with its hygiene sticker; beauty and fragrance in their original, unopened packaging.
Handling beyond what you could do in a shop can lead to a deduction for reduced value. Terms exclude personalised/made-to-specification goods, unsealed hygiene goods and unsealed audio, video or software.
Bershka’s help lists all lingerie, earrings, hair accessories and hats/caps as non-returnable. The terms word it differently, excluding sealed underwear, swimwear, earrings, hosiery, socks and fragrances once unsealed or the hygiene label is removed. Treat the help list as the change-of-mind position: keep goods sealed and ask customer service before sending them. Your return instructions or customer service must resolve eligibility; statutory hygiene exclusions are conditional on unsealing, and faulty-goods rights remain.
No separate sale window is published. These change-of-mind limits do not settle a faulty-item claim, which follows the next route.
Faulty or Wrong Bershka Items and Your Rights
Contact Bershka first through UK help and contact, on 0808 234 0209 or at contact_gb@bershka.com. For defective items, use a store or arranged courier collection with proof such as the e-ticket; clause 16(d) does not name paid drop-off.
Once examination confirms a defect, Bershka promises a full refund including delivery charges to the original payment method. An inspection turnaround and fee-waiver procedure are not published: ask customer service to arrange the route. For a wrong item, contact customer service too; the legal protections below are separate from ordinary return fees.
What UK law adds to Bershka’s policy
UK statutory rights run alongside Bershka’s voluntary allowance. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 cover eligible online cancellations; the Consumer Rights Act 2015 protects faulty purchases.
| Right | Clock | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Cancel online | Generally 14 days after delivery; last delivery for split orders | Notify cancellation of eligible goods |
| Send cancelled goods back | Without undue delay, within 14 days after notice | Dispatch/handover; collection arrangements can alter the duty |
| Cancellation return costs | No automatic free postage | Disclosed return costs can fall on you |
| Reject faulty goods | Normally 30 days starting the day after delivery and other statutory conditions are met | Refund within 14 days of agreed entitlement, without a refund fee |
| Faults after 30 days | Repair/replacement may apply | Trader bears necessary costs; six-month presumption is rebuttable, not a refund deadline |
| In-store change of mind | No general legal right | A retailer’s separate promise may apply |
| Cancellation exclusions | No ordinary cancellation right for qualifying exclusions | Personalised goods; hygiene-sensitive sealed goods once unsealed |
On valid rejection, the retailer bears reasonable return costs, excluding personal travel back to where you took possession. GOV.UK explains that sale goods retain legal rights and proof can include a bank statement.

Bershka Returns Policy: Mistakes That Cost You Money
Check these mistakes before handover:
- Counting from delivery rather than the Shipping Confirmation.
- Opening a request but keeping the parcel beyond the voluntary deadline.
- Paying the listed £6.95 collection or £1.95 drop-off charge when a free store return suits you.
- Splitting one order into two drop-offs and paying twice.
- Sending a faulty item by paid drop-off before contacting customer service.
- Posting a store-device order paid at the till.
- Mixing different orders in one parcel instead of requesting each separately.

FAQ
Does Bershka charge a restocking fee?
No flat restocking fee is published in Bershka’s accessible UK policy. The listed £1.95 drop-off and £6.95 collection deductions pay for return transport. Separately, handling an item beyond reasonable shop inspection can reduce its value and lead to a deduction; that is not a fixed restocking charge.
Do BERSHKA MMBRS members get free or longer returns?
No return-window benefit, fee exemption or reward adjustment is published in Bershka’s UK terms or help. Bershka points members to separate MMBRS FAQs and terms, which were unavailable. Assume the standard return conditions and check your order’s return options rather than relying on membership for extra time or free postage.
Can I return Bershka items bought on sale?
Bershka does not publish a separate sale window or general final-sale rule for discounted clothing in its UK terms or help. Use the standard conditions and confirm any item-specific instructions. Sale goods retain statutory rights if faulty; a reduced price does not remove those protections.
Do Bershka’s rules cover purchases from another shop or resale site?
No: this guide covers direct Bershka UK purchases sold by ITX UK Limited. Bershka’s terms do not establish another retailer’s or resale platform’s return rules. Check the seller named on your purchase record and use that seller’s instructions instead of assuming Bershka’s online return methods apply.
Do the rules cover Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man?
Bershka’s UK terms cover mainland UK, Northern Ireland and Isle of Man deliveries. The mainland-only drop-off qualification concerns orders placed from another EU country; it is not a blanket Northern Ireland exclusion. Check the options offered for your order and ask customer service if the route is unclear.
