PLT Returns Policy UK: 21 Days, £1.99 Fee and Refund Times

The PLT returns policy gives UK shoppers 21 days from receipt for unworn, unwashed items with labels attached, sold directly by PrettyLittleThing on prettylittlething.com and bought from 8 May 2026; earlier purchases keep 28 days to notify. Start at Track Or Return; PLT deducts £1.99 per direct parcel from the refund. Partner-brand goods follow their seller’s route.

Key facts

  • PLT’s standard window is 21 days from receipt; PLT does not say whether these are calendar or working days.
  • PLT deducts £1.99 per direct parcel; concessions carry one £1.99 fee across partners. Royalty covers one free return per order.
  • Track Or Return needs order number and email. No paper delivery note; online orders cannot go back to stores.
  • Keep clothing unworn and unwashed, with labels attached. Replacement mailers are allowed; product packaging still matters.
  • PLT offers refunds, not exchanges: to the original payment method or, for direct PLT returns that are not faulty, an elected gift card. The gift-card choice can’t be undone and applies to later returns from that order; no Christmas 2026 extension had been published as of 28 October 2026.

How Long Do You Have to Return to PLT?

21 days from receipt applies to purchases from 8 May 2026. PLT does not specify calendar versus working days, inclusive counting or a cut-off time.

The 8 May 2026 Change: 21 Days, Not 28

The dated policy paragraph sets that transition; earlier purchases retain 28 days to notify PLT. If you are comparing fast-fashion return windows, see the Shein UK returns guide.

Is Starting a Return Enough, or Must It Arrive?

PLT’s pages word it differently: the return instructions describe sending or returning goods within 21 days, while the same page’s dated paragraph and cancellation section describe notification. The FAQ’s embedded policy separately allows dispatch within 14 days of notification.

The safe action is to register the return and post it early enough to reach PLT within 21 days of receipt; PLT does not say whether posting by day 21 is enough. Confirm your deadline with Track Or Return or customer care.

Is There a PLT Christmas Returns Extension for 2026?

PLT had not published a Christmas 2026 returns extension when this guide was checked on 28 October 2026. PLT’s FAQ seasonal notice names no year, so it cannot establish a 2026–27 offer. Recheck before relying on extra time.

How Much Does a PLT Return Cost?

£1.99 per direct PLT parcel is deducted from an ordinary refund under the current returns policy. Older text on PLT’s FAQ page still refers to free returns; plan on the current £1.99 charge; Royalty and faulty-goods returns are covered below. PLT does not list a separate restocking fee. To compare return costs at another big UK online fashion retailer, see the ASOS UK returns policy.

Example: Assume a UK non-Royalty shopper returns one accepted £40 item in one change-of-mind parcel, chooses original payment and has no other deduction or delivery adjustment. The item refund is £40 − £1.99 = £38.01. Ordinary outbound-delivery refunds are unpublished; statutory whole-order cancellation differs.

Orders With PLT and Partner-Brand Items

Mixed returns cost £1.99 per PLT parcel plus one £1.99 concession fee across partners and concession parcels, under PLT’s mixed-order rule.

Example: Assume a non-Royalty standard return contains two PLT parcels and eligible concession goods from three partners, with no extra service charges. The deduction is 2 × £1.99 + £1.99 = £5.97. Partner destinations remain separate.

Do Royalty Members Get Free Returns?

PLT Royalty covers one free return per order; further returns from that order attract the standard £1.99 charge. Royalty costs £9.99 a year under the membership terms and requires a registered, logged-in account.

Example: Assume direct PLT goods and two separate single-parcel returns from one Royalty order. The first is free; the second costs £1.99. Concession coverage and multiple-parcel coverage within that first return are unspecified; check before splitting. PLT publishes no longer window for Royalty members and no return benefit for PLT Rewards tiers.

How to Return a PLT Order

Step 1: Look Up the Order on Track Or Return

Enter your order number and email at Track Or Return; the policy also allows postcode lookup. Find the reference in your email or account.

PLT also has a Returns Center; start with the current policy’s Track Or Return link.

Step 2: Choose a Refund Method and Label

Choose a refund method first: original payment, or a gift card for direct PLT returns that aren’t faulty. The gift-card choice can’t be undone and applies to later returns from that order (see Should You Take a Gift Card Refund?).

Choose offered label printing at home or drop-off. No universal carriers, printer-free QR code, home collection or bulky-collection price are published; check your order’s choices.

Drop-off printing does not mean stores accept online returns.

Step 3: Pack Each Order Separately

Keep orders separate. Log split deliveries of one order together under its reference; partner destinations take precedence.

Use a non-transparent, sealable, waterproof mailing bag.

Step 4: Post It and Keep Proof

Follow the generated instructions and keep the postage receipt and tracking until the refund arrives. Separate emails confirm warehouse receipt and refund processing.

Can You Return Without an Order Number?

No bank-card lookup, ID lookup, gift-receipt procedure or route without an order number is published. Ask customer care for help. GOV.UK recognises bank statements as legal proof, which does not establish PLT portal access.

Using Your Own Courier

PLT’s contact guidance puts self-arranged returns at your expense and risk until received. Keep evidence and use your order’s address; no universal address is published.

Returning Partner-Brand (Concession) Items

Concession goods normally follow their supplying seller’s delivery-note or portal instructions. PLT’s FAQ lists Coast, Miss Pap, Nasty Gal, Oasis, Warehouse and Runway 1.8.1.8 as using its portal.

That FAQ passage tells shoppers with those brands to look up the order with the order number plus email or the last four digits of their phone number, and says items must be returned to PLT within 14 days of notifying it. The main policy instead sends DBZ goods to the supplying seller, and PLT does not say which instruction applies when both could. Use only the destination and deadline your order’s return instructions generate, and never combine destinations. If no deadline is shown, post early enough to arrive within 14 days of registering the return and within 21 days of receipt, whichever comes first.

The main policy gives no full “DBZ” brand list; check your seller. DBZ refunds use original payment only.

Boohoo orders are separate from PLT orders; see the Boohoo UK return policy.

What Condition Must PLT Returns Be In?

PLT requires unworn, unwashed clothing with original labels or tags attached. The FAQ policy allows refusal or a reduced refund for worn, stained, scented, damaged or unsaleable items. Try-on differs from event wear.

Footwear is for indoor try-on, avoiding stone or tiled floors, with the original shoe box and any shoe or dust bag that came with them. Bedding must be unused and unopened; furniture new, unassembled and originally packed. PLT’s FAQ says some electrical items can’t be returned once the packaging or a hygiene seal has been opened or tampered with; check the product page. Faulty-goods rights are unaffected. Replacement mailers do not remove category conditions.

Items PLT Won’t Take Back

PLT’s detailed hygiene wording restricts these goods when used, unsealed or missing required original packaging:

  • Cosmetics, beauty products and pierced jewellery.
  • Swimwear, lingerie and face masks.
  • Toiletries, medicines, vitamins and supplements.

Some wording excludes cosmetics and pierced jewellery outright; the FAQ ties exclusions to use, packaging or seals. Assume opened or unsealed items will not qualify; ask PLT about sealed ones.

Perishables, personalised or custom-made goods and unwrapped software, CDs and DVDs are excluded from ordinary returns. Faulty-goods rights remain; statutory hygiene exceptions concern qualifying goods unsealed after delivery. PLT decides whether a returned item passes inspection, but inspection does not restart the statutory refund deadline.

How Long Does a PLT Refund Take?

PLT’s FAQ says to allow up to 28 days for transit and processing, describes card processing within 14 days of receipt, then around seven working days to appear. That guidance is undated; the main page gives no numerical total.

Stage Ordinary PLT return Deliver+ / Worry-Free Purchase (Seel) Statutory cancellation
Return window 21 days from receipt; action wording conflicts Deliver+: 14 extra days; Worry-Free Purchase (Seel): 7 extra days. Only if your confirmation names the cover 14 days to cancel, then 14 to send
Retailer processing FAQ: cards within 14 days of receipt; main page: Not published Refund started within 2 days of approval after inspection Without undue delay: within 14 days of receiving the goods or earlier proof of sending, or of your cancellation notice if the trader offered to collect
Bank/provider posting FAQ: around 7 working days Not published Not published

The statutory column follows regulation 34.

Should You Take a Gift Card Refund?

Direct PLT returns that are not faulty can use original payment or an elected gift card, but the main policy advertises 20% extra, while the FAQ and contact page advertise 10% store credit. Check the percentage shown in your return flow before choosing. Faulty goods can’t use the gift-card option at all (contact customer care instead), and purchases paid by gift card or store credit don’t earn the bonus.

Refund gift cards have 90 days’ validity; the irreversible choice applies to later returns from that order. Purchased cards instead last 24 months under the terms.

PLT’s FAQ says purchases paid with a gift voucher or store credit are credited back to your PLT account, while its terms say refunds for items bought with a gift card go back to that gift card first. Check the refund method shown in your return flow, or ask customer care. Buy now, pay later providers process refunds after PLT notifies them; no precise provider posting time is published. Check the provider’s refund status separately from PLT’s email.

Is the 21-Day Refund Figure About Your Return?

No: PLT’s delivery FAQ gives up to 21 days for an undelivered parcel returned by the carrier, comprising 14 days’ transit and processing plus up to seven banking days.

What If Your Refund Is Wrong or Missing?

Give customer care your order details, tracking and any refund email. PLT’s FAQ allows 28 days from refund receipt for disputes, but its incorrect-refund answer asks for contact within 14 days. Contact PLT within 14 days of refund receipt; neither period limits statutory claims.

Does Deliver+ Give You Extra Time to Return?

About Us markets Deliver+ as 14 extra days (35 total), supported by the terms’ PLT Deliver+ clause. Seel help and the returns policy describe Worry-Free Purchase with seven extra days. PLT does not say whether these are the same product. Terms section 24’s seven-day wording refers to Boohoo’s base window, so it is not evidence for either cover’s extension. Check which cover your order confirmation names; rely only on the extra time that cover’s terms state. If neither is named, assume no extra time and use the ordinary 21 days.

Covered returns use Seel’s label and address and must be returned within seven days of starting the claim; posting versus arrival is unspecified, so post promptly.

Postage is payable unless you bought Return Shipping separately. Seel starts refunds within two days of approval after inspection; bank timing is unpublished. Royalty covers fees, not extra time.

Can You Exchange a PLT Item?

No ordinary exchanges are offered under PLT’s policy. Return for a refund and reorder; your size may sell out. Faulty-goods replacement is a separate statutory remedy.

Faulty, Damaged or Wrong PLT Items and Your Rights

Contact PLT customer care before posting faulty, damaged or incorrect goods as an ordinary return. Provide your name, order number, product details, fault description, photos or video, and the dates you bought the item and found the fault. PLT’s contact page says it has no telephone number, so use its online contact options.

PLT’s delivery help asks for contact within 30 days of receipt. That request does not end legal rights. No universal prepaid faulty-return label or resolution timetable is published; ask before paying postage.

Under the UK-wide Consumer Rights Act 2015, qualifying faulty goods normally carry a 30-day short-term right to reject, starting after delivery, ownership and required installation are complete. On valid rejection, the trader bears reasonable return costs and must refund without undue delay, within 14 days of agreeing entitlement.

Repair or replacement must be at the trader’s expense, within reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. Price reduction or final rejection can follow where statutory conditions are met. For specified remedies, faults appearing within six months are presumed present at delivery, unless rebutted.

The policy and terms name different companies; your order confirmation identifies the contracting seller.

Your 14-Day Right to Cancel an Online Order

Eligible online goods have a cancellation period ending 14 calendar days after receipt, or the last goods received under a split-delivery contract, under regulation 30. After timely notice, send them back without undue delay and within 14 days after notification, unless the trader collects.

You bear disclosed direct return costs unless the trader agrees otherwise. Whole-order cancellation includes basic outbound delivery, but not a premium delivery uplift. Regulation 34 requires original-payment reimbursement unless agreed otherwise, prohibits a reimbursement fee, and sets the deadline above; postage is separate.

Handling beyond shop-style inspection can justify diminished-value deductions if required cancellation information was supplied. Exceptions include personalised or perishable goods and qualifying hygiene goods unsealed after delivery. Sale goods retain statutory rights.

Example: Assume eligible goods arrive in one complete delivery on 2 November 2026, required cancellation information was supplied and no collection was offered. Notify by 16 November 2026; if notifying that day, send by 30 November 2026, without undue delay. This is the statutory clock; PLT’s 21-day counting is unspecified.

PLT Returns Policy Mistakes That Cost You Money

  • Registering within 21 days but posting late: PLT’s pages don’t confirm that registration or day-21 posting is enough; post early enough to arrive within the window.
  • Assuming unlimited Royalty returns: later returns from one order are charged; confirm multi-parcel coverage first.
  • Mixing partners into a PLT parcel: different sellers have separate destinations, even with one concession fee.
  • Choosing credit without checking: the bonus differs across pages, refund cards last 90 days, and the choice locks later returns from the order.
  • Posting a faulty item as an ordinary return: an ordinary return carries the £1.99 deduction; contact PLT first so the item is handled as faulty.
  • Sending Deliver+ goods to PLT: use Seel’s instructions for covered claims and PLT’s route for ordinary returns.

FAQ

Does PLT charge a restocking fee?

PLT lists no separate restocking fee. The published ordinary charge is £1.99 per direct PLT parcel, deducted from the refund. That absence is not a guarantee against every possible deduction: condition-related reductions and the mixed-seller fee rules are separate issues.

Can I return a PLT item I was given as a gift?

PLT does not publish a gift-recipient procedure or gift-receipt lookup route. Ask customer care before posting; have the original order details available. Ordinary refunds are tied to the original order’s payment or chosen refund method; do not assume a recipient can obtain a separate cash refund.

Can I return sale items to PLT?

PLT’s returns page does not set a separate sale rule or publish a general final-sale exception. Check the item’s conditions and your order instructions rather than assuming eligibility. Sale purchases retain statutory rights, including qualifying faulty-goods remedies; discounts do not remove those protections.

Can I return PLT shoes I’ve tried on?

Yes, PLT’s FAQ allows indoor try-on, but says to avoid stone or tiled floors and return the original shoe box and any shoe or dust bag supplied. Keep footwear saleable for inspection. A replacement outer mailing bag does not replace the footwear’s product packaging requirement.

Can PLT restrict my account for returning too much?

PLT’s FAQ addresses restricted accounts with valid returns by directing shoppers to support; return shipping may be payable. No published numerical threshold establishes a ban. The PLT returns policy does not replace statutory rights; ask support for the applicable instructions.
