Quince Return Policy: 365 Days, Restocking Fees and Refund Timing

The Quince return policy in the US allows most returns or exchanges within 365 days, with prepaid labels and no return fee. Quince sells online only, so returns start online, usually in your account. Furniture, wall art, engagement rings and holiday décor have shorter deadlines; several categories carry restocking fees, and final-sale items are excluded. See Quince’s policy.

  • Most items have 365 days; the detailed policy counts from delivery, but the offers FAQ says order date. Count from ordering to be safe.
  • No return fee, a prepaid label, and a QR code if you have no printer. Restocking fees: $35 (made-to-order jewelry, rugs, mirrors), 15% (furniture, wall art), $25 (artificial Christmas trees).
  • Original-payment refund limits: cards 365 days; PayPal/Klarna 180; Afterpay 120; Amazon Pay 90. Later eligible returns receive store credit.
  • Clothing must be unworn, unwashed and tagged; used or washed bedding is returnable within its window.
  • Final-sale promotions, customized items, gold bars, caviar and wine are excluded; damaged or defective items have a separate route.

Quince return rules by category — from the US returns policy and Return Policy help. Quince’s pages word the 365-day start differently; see the next section.

How Long Do You Have to Return to Quince?

365 days is Quince’s standard window for refunds or exchanges, subject to the shorter category windows below. The policy says the version in effect at purchase applies. Quince does not define whether ordinary deadlines require initiation, shipping or arrival; start and ship well before the deadline.

Before buying from another fashion brand, compare Aritzia’s return rules.

Does the 365 days start at delivery or at the order date?

Quince’s pages word it differently, so count from the order date to be safe. The detailed policy and Return Policy help count from delivery; Quince’s offers FAQ instead counts from the order date. Check Orders & Returns or support for your order’s binding eligibility.

Quince does not publish whether days are calendar or business days, or the time of day and timezone when a window closes, so start early.

What Condition Must Quince Returns Be In?

Quince generally requires items to be unworn, unwashed, undamaged and unaltered, with hang tags attached. Include original product packaging and boxes; the original shipping box is unnecessary, and another secure box or bag works. Quince may request photos under its condition rules.

Underwear, swimsuits and bodysuits need tags and original packaging; wear your own underwear when trying them on. Dedicated beauty, candle, cookware, towel and opened-but-unused rules are unpublished. Apply the general conditions and ask support about uncertain products.

Can you return washed or used Quince bedding?

Yes. Quince’s US return help permits washed or used bedding within 365 days without original product packaging. The bedding exception does not cover towels.

Is Quince Return Shipping Free?

Yes for the label: ordinary eligible returns get a prepaid label and Quince’s US help lists no return fee, though some categories carry restocking fees (below). Shipping help also says replacement and exchange shipping is free.

For a self-bought label, keep shipment and delivery tracking proof; Quince may require a lost-carrier claim if evidence is missing. Quince’s terms put transit risk on the shopper until acceptance. Reimbursement of self-bought labels or paid delivery charges is not published. Alaska, Hawaii, non-contiguous and outside-US label rules are also unpublished; ask support before shipping.

Quince restocking fees by category

Quince’s fee rules list these deductions:

Category Fee Condition
Made-to-order jewelry, rugs, mirrors, made-to-order non-furniture $35 Eligible return
Furniture and wall art 15% Category rules apply
Artificial Christmas trees $25 Seasonal deadline applies
Missing grading card/diamond certificate, up to 2.99 ct $30 Jewelry documentation missing
Missing certificate, 3 ct or more $100 Jewelry documentation missing
Minor jewelry wear Not published Discretionary partial refund less refurbishment fee

Significant jewelry damage unrelated to manufacturing defects makes the return refund-ineligible; return-to-shopper shipping is at your cost. Quince does not publish flat-fee item/order/parcel basis, the 15% calculation base, tax treatment, stacking or general defect waivers.

How to Return a Quince Order

Quince’s online return takes five steps; choose the refund destination carefully because issued store credit cannot become cash. Completion and transit times are unpublished. Have the checkout email and required packaging ready, then use Orders & Returns.

Start a return in Orders & Returns

  1. Sign in or register with the checkout email, including for guest purchases. Confirm the order appears; use Find Order below if missing.
  2. Open My Orders and select the return items.
  3. Answer the questions and choose store credit, original-payment refund or exchange. Review the destination before submitting.
  4. Wait for approval and the emailed prepaid label; return instructions also provide a QR code for shoppers without printers.
  5. Pack securely with required product packaging. Use each label on its own corresponding package; never combine different orders. Check contents against the label before sealing.

Recover missing labels through return details or label support. Carriers, drop-off networks, pickup and a public warehouse address are not published; follow your issued instructions or contact Quince.

Can you change or cancel a Quince return after submitting it?

Quince permits cancellation before shipping through View Return Details. Submitted returns cannot be edited: cancel and restart to change items, refund method or exchange choice. Once in transit, even support cannot cancel the return.

Can You Return to Quince Without a Receipt?

Quince’s account process does not list a paper receipt as a step; use the checkout email. Find Order, explained in missing-order help, offers:

  • Order number plus shipping ZIP.
  • Payment method’s last four digits plus ZIP.
  • Email plus a one-time verification code.

The search covers two years, including received gifts; that is not a longer return window. Untraceable, bank-statement-only and ID-only returns are not published options. Ask support to identify the purchase.

Returning a Quince gift

Quince gift recipients who received checkout gift emails can return through their accounts. Otherwise contact support with the order number and/or giver’s email, the items and a return address. Gift refund destination and giver notification are not published; ask support before choosing a refund method.

When Will You Get Your Quince Refund?

Quince typically processes ordinary store credit within 3 business days after carrier receipt and weighing, versus 7 business days after facility delivery and restocking for original-payment refunds. Processing help separates those triggers; refund timing also leaves bank posting afterward.

Quince refund clocks

Stage Store credit Original payment Jewelry, rugs, made-to-order
1. Return window 365 days/category window Same; payment limits below also apply Category window
2. Quince processing Typically within 3 business days of carrier receipt and weighing Typically 7 business days after facility delivery, following restocking Warehouse receipt/processing first; jewelry refunds up to 7 business days after warehouse receipt
3. Bank/provider posting Not applicable Card posting: a few additional days after finalization email; numeric range: Not published Additional card-posting stage where applicable; numeric range: Not published

Transit duration and separate rug/made-to-order store-credit processing figures are Not published. Contact support if status says Return Received but no refund appears after 5 business days; this is an escalation trigger, not a processing promise.

Example: Assume the same eligible ordinary item, excluding jewelry, rugs and made-to-order goods. Store credit uses the carrier-receipt/weighing clock; a card refund waits for facility delivery and processing, then bank posting. Neither yields a guaranteed end date; payment eligibility also matters.

Which payment methods get a cash refund, and for how long?

Quince’s original-payment refund limits differ by payment method:

Payment method Original-payment refund available for
Credit/debit card 365 days
PayPal 180 days
Klarna 180 days
Afterpay 120 days
Amazon Pay 90 days

Once a method’s limit passes, eligible returns receive store credit. Quince does not publish the start event or whether issuance must precede expiry. If you paid with a payment service, return early; these are Quince’s published rules, not the providers’ terms.

Where your Quince refund goes

Quince refunds gift card/store credit used first, then the remaining balance to other original methods. Refunds cannot move to another card, even if the original is canceled, lost, expired or stolen. Choosing store credit is irreversible; it stays on the order-linked account.

Why your refund may be lower than expected

Quince removes unused promotional credit awarded for the returned item, or deducts it if already spent, under its policy and referral terms. Points are non-refundable; discount codes cannot be reused, though support may consider credit or a replacement offer for Quince-caused issues. Category fees can also reduce refunds.

How Quince Exchanges Work

Quince supports direct account exchanges for size, color or style, with free shipping. Non-jewelry exchange orders generally trigger on carrier scan, typically within 3 business days of carrier receipt. Exchange stock, price differences and separate fees are unpublished; ask before selecting.

For another basics or activewear purchase, compare Lululemon’s exchange and return rules.

Jewelry exchange timing

Quince’s main policy gives 7–14 business days from carrier receipt; processing help instead says within 7 business days after warehouse receipt and processing. The two estimates start at different points, so they cannot be combined into one end-to-end time, and neither says how long transit and warehouse handling take. Don’t plan around a fixed date for a replacement piece; check Orders & Returns or ask support for your order’s status.

Which Quince Items Have Shorter Windows or Extra Fees?

Quince gives engagement rings, furniture, wall art and holiday décor their own clocks. The category rules also attach fees or documentation requirements to otherwise returnable goods.

Jewelry and engagement rings

Quince engagement rings have 60 days from purchase, with no returns afterward. The required deadline action is unpublished; start and ship early.

Furniture

Quince requires contacting furniture@onequince.com within 30 days of delivery for stocked furniture or 7 days for made-to-order furniture. Furniture help confirms contact initiates the return. Furniture must be new and unused; the 15% fee also covers cancellations more than 24 hours after ordering and sizing/access problems. Delivery is limited to contiguous states.

Before buying furniture elsewhere, compare IKEA’s return rules.

Wall art, rugs and mirrors

Quince allows like-new wall art within 30 days of receipt, with 15% restocking. Rugs and mirrors are returnable with $35 restocking under the policy. Wall art’s initiation/shipping/arrival milestone is unpublished; start and ship early.

Luggage

Quince requires original product tags and the Return Tag for refund eligibility. A US store-credit fallback without the Return Tag is not published; contact support before sending tagless luggage.

Quince Holiday Décor and Christmas Tree Returns

Quince holiday décor, including Christmas trees bought in 2026, must have returns started and postmarked by December 23, 2026. The seasonal policy charges $25 for artificial-tree returns. Eligible purchase-date range, cutoff time and timezone are unpublished, as is treatment of décor bought or delivered after December 23. Ask Quince before buying late.

Example: Assume an artificial Christmas tree ordered in November 2026 meets normal condition rules. Start and postmark the return by December 23, 2026; the $25 fee applies. The standard 365-day window does not apply.

Is there a 2026 Quince holiday return extension?

As of October 28, 2026, Quince’s US policy and help pages publish no separate 2026 holiday return extension. The December 23 rule is a seasonal restriction, not an extension. Quince could still announce one, so check the current policy before relying on it.

What Can’t You Return to Quince?

Quince’s exclusions cover:

  • Final-sale promotions and customized, logo or private-label items.
  • Gold bars.
  • Caviar and wine; contact Quince for damaged or incorrect deliveries.
  • B2B custom items.

Alcohol is sold by a third-party licensed entity under Quince’s terms. Quince disclaims responsibility for non-Quince items accidentally returned and is unaffiliated with the yarn company Quince & Co.

Limited-edition items

Quince’s main policy and Return Policy help list limited editions as final sale; Final Sale Policy help instead allows standard 365-day returns unless the product page and checkout cart label them Final Sale. The pages word it differently. Check both labels; do not buy a limited edition you might return without confirmation. For an existing purchase, use Orders & Returns eligibility or support.

What If a Quince Item Arrives Damaged or Defective?

Quince’s defect procedure uses Return or Replace in your account: select the defect reason, upload a photo showing the defect and Quince label, then choose credit, exchange or refund. The label is emailed within 24 hours after photo review.

The defect route waives the original-packaging, unworn, unwashed and undamaged requirements, but Quince may still require photos and a physical return. No universal reporting deadline or immediate replacement is published. Contact Quince promptly for furniture; wrong/defective final-sale goods, food and wine go through support, including final-sale quality help. Longer-term defects may fall under warranty.

Quince warranties versus returns

Quince’s separate warranties cover qualifying luggage, 5-ply stainless-steel cookware, jewelry and made-to-order upholstered beds/seating. Quince selects repair, replacement or cash/credit refund. Proof and defect evidence may be required; await instructions and the prepaid label. Jewelry evaluation may require a $50 deposit, which may not be refunded if the claim is rejected; return-to-shopper charges may apply.

Federal rules that sit beside Quince’s policy

The FTC Cooling-Off Rule excludes entirely online sales; it supplies no separate three-day Quince return window.

For covered unshipped orders, FTC guidance requires shipment when promised, or within 30 days absent a promise; delays allow accepting the delay or canceling for a full refund, not store credit. Certain credit-card billing errors require written dispute within 60 days of the first erroneous statement being sent. Quality disputes are not billing errors. These rules do not extend merchandise-return deadlines.

Quince Return Policy Mistakes to Avoid

  • Counting from delivery without checking the offers FAQ’s order-date wording.
  • Expecting Afterpay or Amazon Pay cash refunds in month ten.
  • Choosing store credit, then expecting conversion to cash.
  • Combining different orders or reusing a label on multiple packages.
  • Missing December 23 for trees or the seven-day made-to-order furniture contact window.

StoreReturners cannot see your order; eligibility comes from Orders & Returns or Quince support (phone or text +1 888-618-9322, listed on Quince’s US contact page), and unpublished details need confirmation. Quince Return Policy FAQ

Does Quince have stores where I can return items?

No. Quince describes itself as online-only, so there is no Quince store return route. Start an ordinary eligible return through your account and follow the issued label or QR-code instructions. A carrier drop-off location is separate from a Quince retail store; furniture starts through direct contact.

Do Quince rewards or referrals give me a longer return window?

Quince does not publish a rewards or referral tier that extends returns, waives category fees or changes eligibility. Rewards help says points are non-refundable, while referral credits can be removed or deducted after returns. Use the item’s normal category and payment rules rather than assuming loyalty provides extra rights.

Can Quince stop me from making returns?

Yes. Quince reserves the right to restrict returns for abuse, including repeated excessive or high-frequency returns, missing merchandise, non-new returns and fraud. Restrictions can apply even while an order is within its window. No numeric threshold is published; ask support about an account restriction rather than assuming eligibility from age alone.

What if Quince won’t accept an item for return?

If Orders & Returns won’t offer an item, ask support which rule applies. Compare it with the policy in effect at purchase, your order and delivery dates, the category window and any Final Sale label. Keep photos and messages, and don’t reship until Quince sends instructions. Quince does not publish an appeal process.

What happens if Quince never receives my return?

Keep tracking proof of shipment and delivery. Quince’s processing help says to contact support if transit exceeds 15 business days and tracking has not moved for five consecutive business days. Quince may require a lost-carrier claim when shipment evidence is missing; its terms place transit risk on the shopper until acceptance.

Can I return part of a Quince business (B2B) order?

Quince’s business-order rules exclude custom items but permit returns or exchanges of up to 10% of non-customized bulk units. Example: Assume 200 non-customized units; the allowance is up to 20 units. The Quince return policy does not turn that allowance into a right to return customized business merchandise.
