Mango Return Policy (UK): 30 Days, Free Options and Refunds
The Mango return policy (UK) for direct Mango purchases gives 30 days from dispatch online and 30 days from purchase in store. CAPSULE gets 14 days, from purchase in store; Mango’s online pages say dispatch or delivery. Participating stores and one Post Office drop-off per purchase are free. Mango’s help lists home collection at £1.95; its terms say free.
Key facts
- Mango’s ordinary online return clock starts at dispatch, not delivery or ordering.
- Store purchases have 30 days from purchase, with a paper or digital receipt or purchase barcode.
- Free online-to-store returns exclude listed concessions, Outlets, Gatwick and online Mango Home items.
- Free Post Office returns are once per purchase; drop off within 10 business days of requesting.
- Refunds go to the original payment method; bank posting takes 3–12 working days after Mango’s refund email.

How Long Do You Have to Return to Mango?
Mango allows 30 days from dispatch for ordinary online purchases and 30 days from purchase in store; CAPSULE has 14 days, counted from purchase in store and from dispatch or delivery online, depending on the Mango page. The starting point depends on how you bought the item.
Online orders: 30 days from dispatch
Mango’s online help gives 30 calendar days from dispatch; for split dispatches within one confirmed order, the terms count from the last dispatch. However, the terms’ cancellation section separately permits notice up to 30 days after delivery, counting from the following day (or, where a third party other than the courier runs your chosen collection point, from the day after delivery to that point rather than when you collect), then 14 days to return. Plan from the date in Mango’s dispatch email. Requesting a Post Office or collection return is not the same as giving cancellation notice: to use the terms’ cancellation route, notify Mango clearly by the means the terms set out, quote the order number, keep a copy of the notice, then send the items back within 14 days. The terms name post, email or telephone, giving your name, address and order reference, or completing and submitting their cancellation form. Check My Purchases or Customer Service for your order’s route.
Example: Assume an ordinary garment arrives several days after dispatch, with no promotion. Delivery transit consumes part of the stated voluntary window; arrival does not restart it.
Store purchases and the CAPSULE collection
Mango’s store help allows 30 days from purchase, or 14 for CAPSULE with original labels. That page does not specify calendar versus working days; return early.
For online CAPSULE purchases, online help says 14 days from delivery, while the general terms say dispatch. Count from dispatch unless Customer Service confirms otherwise. CAPSULE is a named collection, not a general sale-item category.
Orders placed on a store iPad
Mango’s iPad-order help specifies 30 days from dispatch, or 14 from dispatch for CAPSULE with original labels. Buying through a store iPad does not make the till-purchase clock applicable.
What counts as returning “in time”?
Mango does not specify whether requesting, handing over, scanning or warehouse arrival must occur before the ordinary online deadline. Request and drop off well before it; store purchases must reach a store within their stated period.
The Post Office instructions require handover within 10 business days of requesting. Mango does not explain how that interacts with the overall window: requesting on day 29 does not establish ten extra days.
Is there a Mango Christmas 2026 return extension?
Mango had not published a dated Christmas 2026 extension as of 28 October 2026. Online help says promotions may extend deadlines, but the Black Friday page supplies no return dates.
Check online help again from mid-November. Shoppers weighing a seasonal buy at another Spanish high-street chain can compare the Zara UK return guide.
Which Mango Return Method Should You Use?
Choose a participating Mango store if nearby; otherwise, use one Post Office parcel containing everything you intend to return from that purchase. For a separate high-street comparison of collection and store routes, see the Next return guide.
Can you return Mango online orders to a store?
Yes: eligible Mango online orders can go to participating UK stores free, with a return form or purchase barcode, according to store-return help.
- Download the form again from My Purchases if needed, or open the mobile barcode.
- Check Mango’s store locator.
- Take the items and proof to a participating store.
Excluded locations are Elys, House of Fraser, Fenwick, John Lewis, Tempest, Enfield Pearsons, Wimbledon Elys, Outlets and Gatwick airport. Online Mango Home items cannot go to stores. Avoid assuming a concession accepts direct-site returns.
Free Post Office drop-off with a QR code
Mango’s Post Office route is free once per purchase. Start through My Purchases:
- Sign in, or access a guest order using the purchase email and order number; request the return.
- Find the emailed QR code. If missing, ask Customer Service chat.
- Complete the return reason on the form, or the new size for an exchange, then put it inside any protective box or bag and seal securely.
- Present the QR code at the Post Office within 10 business days of requesting, while allowing for the overall deadline.
Include every order’s form when combining orders. This route excludes iPad orders, Outlet and other brands. Mango does not publish eligibility or pricing for a second drop-off from one purchase; decide what to send before using the first.
Mango home collection: £1.95 or free?
Mango’s collection help and portal show £1.95 per request, deducted from the refund; the terms describe collection as free. Expect the deduction, confirm your booking’s price with Customer Service, or choose an eligible free store or Post Office return.
- Request collection through My Purchases for your chosen address; the portal estimates pickup within 24–48 hours.
- Put the return form inside and seal the parcel.
- Check the confirmation email: help says the courier brings and attaches the label, while the terms say it is emailed. Ask Customer Service if instructions remain unclear.
The service excludes iPad and Outlet orders. No membership, category or order-value waiver is published; avoid assuming a loyalty tier removes the disputed charge.
Posting a Mango return yourself
Mango’s terms permit customer-paid post for store-iPad orders and for online orders returned under the terms’ cancellation section. No fixed postage price is published.
- Ask Customer Service for the complete address: the terms’ distribution-centre address appears incomplete.
- Enclose the order return form and pack the items.
- Pay postage; Mango recommends registered post with acknowledgement and refuses carriage-due returns.
Customer-paid change-of-mind postage is not reimbursed. Avoid paying to send a parcel before confirming its destination and condition requirements.
What Condition Do Mango Returns Need to Be In?
Mango requires original condition and labels attached for voluntary returns; its conditions and terms exclude used or damaged goods, apart from faulty products.
Any securely sealed protective outer box or bag works for collection or Post Office returns. That flexibility does not remove original-seal requirements for fragrances, candles and cosmetics. Mango publishes no universal accessories or shoe-box checklist or precise definition of acceptable trying-on; preserve packaging and ask before altering the item. Keep the receipt, purchase barcode or return form with the item: Mango asks for one of them, depending on the method.
Can You Return to Mango Without a Receipt?
Yes, losing paper need not prevent a return: Mango accepts digital store receipts and purchase barcodes, while online return forms can be downloaded again. Mango publishes no voluntary route for a purchase with no record at all.
Use My Purchases → Exchanges and returns for the barcode, or guest order access for order documents. Store-purchase help and online-to-store instructions distinguish the accepted documents.
Mango does not publish a bank-statement lookup, ID-only credit, gift-receipt procedure, cash-refund arrangement or a fallback for when your original card is unavailable. A bank statement can still support a statutory claim under GOV.UK guidance. Ask Customer Service before travelling.
Mango Refunds: How Long Do They Take?
Mango’s refund help gives banks 3–12 working days after the refund email; money goes to the original payment method. The return window, transit and retailer processing are separate stages.
| Clock/stage | Collection or Post Office | In-store return |
|---|---|---|
| Return window | Ordinary online: 30 calendar days from dispatch; CAPSULE exceptions above | Store purchase: 30 days from purchase; CAPSULE 14 |
| Transit | Up to 2 working days to warehouse | Not applicable |
| Mango processing | Within 48 hours on working days after arrival/checks | Up to 48 hours on working days to process and confirm |
| Bank posting | 3–12 working days after refund email | 3–12 working days after refund email |
Mango’s help starts bank posting at the refund email, whereas the terms count 3–12 working days from warehouse receipt. Adding the stages together does not give a guaranteed total. Follow the refund email and ask Customer Service about delays; a store handover does not mean immediate bank credit. Until the money arrives, keep any store return confirmation, Post Office or courier handover evidence you are given, and your booking or cancellation emails.
Gift card and mixed-payment refunds
Mango’s gift-voucher terms prioritise the payment card for mixed-payment refunds, then reload the remainder to the gift card. Gift-card reloading takes about 14 calendar days after the refund is made.
Example: Assume £40 paid by card plus £20 by gift card, a full eligible £60 refund and no deductions or discounts. Mango returns £40 to the payment card and reloads £20 to the gift card. This concerns goods bought with a card, not returning the gift card itself.
Mango Style Club coupons and points
Mango’s Style Club terms, effective 15 September 2026, cover Style Insider, Style Curator and Style Icon. Used coupon value is not refunded; points on eligible identified Mango purchases mature 30 days from purchase on the portion you keep. The programme excludes other brands, Outlet, airport and department-store corners, and staff-assisted website or app purchases in stores.
To preserve a coupon price in an exchange, the programme directs members to a physical store. No longer member return window or collection-fee waiver is published; confirm eligibility before choosing an exchange route.
Exchanging Mango Items for a Different Size
Mango supports ordinary online size exchanges subject to stock; a different model requires return and repurchase. Write the requested size on the Post Office return form; the return-status email confirms replacement dispatch.
For iPad orders, dedicated help says return and reorder, even for size changes; the terms word exchanges ambiguously. Plan to reorder unless Customer Service confirms another route. Exchange surcharges, dispatch deadlines and stock reservation are unpublished; ask before relying on availability.
Readers comparing high-street size swaps can check the H&M return and exchange guide.
Items Mango Won’t Take Back
Mango’s voluntary exclusions depend on product and purchase channel, according to its return conditions and store help:
- Personalised or altered items cannot be returned or exchanged.
- Fragrances, candles and cosmetics require original sealed packaging.
- Online lingerie, underwear and swimwear require the protective hygiene seal intact.
- Store-bought lingerie, underwear, swimwear and earrings are excluded outright by store help; do not assume an intact seal overrides it.
No general sale-item 14-day limit or clearance exclusion is published. Check promotion terms rather than treating every discounted item as CAPSULE.
Mango gift cards
Mango’s conditions exclude gift-card returns and exchanges; store help says vouchers can only be exchanged; gift-voucher terms allow unused cards with intact CVV and original receipt within 30 days of store purchase or online dispatch. Treat the card as non-returnable unless Customer Service confirms eligibility; retain the receipt and leave the CVV unscratched.
Mango Home, Outlet and other brands
Mango Home online purchases cannot go to stores. Mango’s terms exclude Outlet orders from standard collection and drop-off services and other brands from free Post Office returns.
A complete alternative procedure and seller identity for other brands are unpublished; ask Customer Service. For Mango bought from a department store or another retailer, establish who sold it and use that seller’s policy. Faulty-goods rights remain separate from these voluntary restrictions.
Faulty or Wrong Mango Items and Your UK Rights
Mango’s faulty-item help says select “Incorrect Item” or “Defective Item” in the available return flow. Contact Customer Service if the item is used, missing labels or outside the ordinary window; once a defect is confirmed, Mango says it refunds item price and shipping paid.
Mango’s terms also state a three-year online non-conformity warranty and a two-year presumption, both counted from delivery, directing store-purchase assessments to stores. These are Mango warranty statements, not UK statutory return periods.
Separately, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 normally give qualifying distance-sale shoppers 14 days after the goods come into their physical possession, or that of someone they name who is not the carrier, to notify cancellation, then 14 days to send back, unless the trader is responsible for collection. Split orders use final delivery; an iPad purchase is not automatically a distance contract. Mango’s collection-point wording is a separate contractual trigger; Mango does not say how it relates to this statutory test, and its terms cannot shorten the statutory period.
Statutory reimbursement must be without undue delay: if collection was not offered, within 14 days of receiving goods or earlier proof of sending; if offered, within 14 days of cancellation notice. Original payment means apply unless expressly agreed otherwise, without a reimbursement fee. Whole-order cancellation within the cooling-off period includes standard outbound delivery, not a premium upgrade.
Disclosed direct return costs can fall on the shopper; excessive handling can reduce reimbursement. Customised goods and unsealed hygiene-protected goods have cancellation exclusions, separate from faults.
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 normally provides 30-day short-term rejection for faulty or not-as-described goods, starting the day after delivery, transfer and necessary enabling steps are complete. Repair or replacement can pause that clock. Later remedies may involve repair or replacement, then price reduction or final rejection depending on circumstances; necessary remedy costs fall on the trader.
GOV.UK confirms sale goods retain legal rights and there is no general in-person change-of-mind right. This guide cannot resolve conflicting Mango wording or verify an individual booking or store’s acceptance: check your order and Customer Service.
Mango Return Policy Mistakes That Cost You Money
- Counting an ordinary online window from delivery rather than dispatch.
- Booking collection and expecting the full refund: Mango’s help and portal show £1.95, while its terms say free.
- Splitting one purchase into two Post Office returns without checking second-return eligibility and cost.
- Taking direct-site orders to John Lewis or House of Fraser concessions, or online Mango Home to a store.
- Paying postage to the terms’ incomplete address without confirmation.
Where Mango’s pages word a rule differently, this guide shows both wordings; see how we check retailer policies. For other retailers, browse more UK store guides.
FAQ
Can I put items from two Mango orders in one parcel?
Yes. Mango’s parcel instructions allow different orders together for Post Office or home collection, provided every order’s return form is enclosed. Both orders must qualify for the selected method. Combining orders does not establish a fresh entitlement beyond the one-free-Post-Office-return-per-purchase limit.
Can I return Mango swimwear or underwear?
Online lingerie, underwear and swimwear require the hygiene seal intact under Mango’s conditions. Store-purchase help excludes those categories outright, alongside earrings. Ask Customer Service about an unopened store purchase rather than assuming the online seal rule applies. Faulty-goods rights remain separate from these change-of-mind restrictions.
Does Mango refund the original delivery charge?
Mango’s terms refund standard outbound delivery only when you cancel the whole order within the 14-day cooling-off period; premium delivery upgrades, partial cancellations and later cancellations are excluded. Customer-paid change-of-mind return postage is separate and not reimbursed. For confirmed defects, Mango says it refunds the item price and shipping paid.
Does Mango charge a restocking fee?
Mango does not publish a restocking, per-item handling or late-return fee in the reviewed sources; that does not establish zero fees. Collection help shows £1.95 per request deducted from refunds, while the terms call collection free. Check the booking price with Customer Service before proceeding.
Can Mango refuse a refund or suspend my account?
Mango’s online help says suspected misuse may lead to a refused refund or temporary account suspension. That statement does not remove statutory consumer rights, as GOV.UK explains. If a return is disputed, identify whether you are claiming under the Mango return policy, statutory cancellation or faulty-goods rights.
