How Long Do You Have to Return to Reiss?

Reiss gives online shoppers 28 days from delivery to their home or chosen store, including eligible sale goods. Store purchases and orders placed in store have 28 days from purchase.

Reiss does not specify calendar versus working days, inclusive counting or whether booking, dispatch, an Evri scan or warehouse arrival meets the deadline. Hand over early and keep proof.

Click-and-collect: when does the 28-day clock start?

Reiss starts the window at delivery to the chosen store, not collection. Example: assume store delivery on 20 October and collection on 23 October; the clock points to 20 October. Reiss does not publish its counting rules, so this guide does not calculate a final date.

Courier returns and the 14-day wording in Reiss’s terms

Reiss’s UK policy gives 28 days from delivery, while its terms under “Returns Via Courier” require telling Reiss within 14 days. The pages word the requirement differently. If you’re returning by Evri, book it within 14 days of delivery and, to match the terms’ wording, tell Reiss within that period too through customer care chat or the contact form, keeping a copy. Booking with Evri alone is not confirmed as telling Reiss. Otherwise, use an eligible Reiss or Next store within 28 days. Ask customer care to confirm the binding deadline for your order.

Northern Ireland orders

Reiss’s Northern Ireland terms describe 28 days beginning after receipt, plus a further 28 days after cancellation where written notice was given within 28 days of delivery. The general policy counts from delivery without that extra period. Treat 28 days from delivery as the deadline and confirm with customer care; do not assume 56 days.

Is there a Reiss Christmas returns extension for 2026?

Reiss’s current UK sources do not publish Christmas 2026 extension dates. A previous-season notice covered purchases from 14 November–25 December 2025, with returns by 4 January 2026; it cannot be rolled forward. We will update this guide if Reiss publishes a current extension. Until then, choose a route within the ordinary window.

Where You Can Return It Depends on Where You Bought It

Reiss online orders can use stores or Evri; purchases or orders placed in store must return to standalone Reiss stores.

Online orders at a Reiss or Next store

Reiss accepts eligible online returns free at standalone Reiss and UK Next stores, excluding department stores, concessions, airports and franchises. No return label is needed. Find a branch through the Reiss locator or Next locator.

Reiss does not say which documents to bring, so take your order confirmation or dispatch note. Any Next purchases you also carry follow Next’s separate return policy.

Evri home collection, ParcelShop or locker

Account holders use My Account → Returns → Arrange a return; guests use Evri’s returns service, select REISS Ltd, and provide surname, email and return reason.

Which Evri methods you are offered can depend on parcel size. Reiss does not say whether service or charges differ by UK region or for offshore postcodes, so check the options shown when you book.

Store purchases and department-store concessions

Reiss store purchases and store-placed orders must return to standalone Reiss stores in the original country, excluding Next and Evri. Department-store or franchise purchases go back to that seller; check concession instructions before travelling.

Does Reiss Charge for Returns?

Reiss charges £2.50 per Evri parcel, deducted from the refund, for orders placed from 22 July 2026. Eligible online returns to standalone Reiss or UK Next stores are free, according to its return costs page.

Example: assume £180 of eligible goods from an online order placed after 22 July 2026, with no other deductions and original delivery excluded. One Evri parcel leaves £177.50 for goods; two chargeable parcels leave £175; a qualifying store return leaves £180.

Reiss’s return pages do not list a restocking fee. Its terms reserve an investigation charge of at least £35 for returning or attempting to return substitute items; this is not a standard return fee. The terms add that you remain liable to pay for the original goods, and that Reiss may offset the charge against other refunds. Fee-waiver rules are unpublished, so contact Reiss before booking a faulty-item return. For another fashion retailer’s charges, see Zara’s UK return policy.

How to Return a Reiss Online Order

Reiss’s online return instructions provide store and Evri routes:

  1. Check eligibility. Confirm the delivery date, unused condition, tags, any warning security sticker and category exclusions. Contact customer care first for damaged, faulty or incorrect goods.
  2. Choose the destination. Use a qualifying Reiss or Next store for a free online return, or choose Evri collection, ParcelShop or locker for the per-parcel charge.
  3. Arrange Evri if needed. Use the account route above or Evri’s guest route, selecting REISS Ltd. Book within 14 days of delivery and tell Reiss (see the courier note above). Check the booking confirmation before packing.
  4. Pack the correct goods. Keep tags attached, use original packaging wherever possible and put shoes in their original shoe box. Attach the return label outside and put the remaining original paperwork inside; if you don’t have it, print the Evri return order confirmation from your email and enclose that. Use the replacement-label instructions if paperwork is missing.
  5. Hand over and keep proof. For drop-off, select the method matching your handover and check the label or QR instructions before leaving. The online article names “Courier collection” in its drop-off steps, while replacement help says to choose the preferred method. Contact Reiss if drop-off is not offered; keep your Evri receipt.
  6. Watch for confirmation. Reiss emails after receipt and processing. Use that email and your handover proof if you need to query a refund.

Lost your return label or don’t have a printer?

Reiss provides replacement labels: print at home for collection or lockers, or let a ParcelShop print from the emailed QR code. Support can post a label.

The terms call the original peel-off label essential at ParcelShops, while dedicated help permits replacements. Use the original if available; otherwise follow replacement help and keep confirmation. A replacement label does not change the item’s eligibility.

What Condition Must Reiss Returns Be In?

Reiss requires change-of-mind goods to be new and unused, with tags attached, and requests original packaging wherever possible. Shoes specifically require their original shoe box under its exclusions guidance.

Reiss does not publish rules for missing accessories or parts, so ask customer care before returning an incomplete item.

Items Reiss won’t take back

Reiss’s help page and terms restrict these change-of-mind returns:

  • Earrings, facemasks and hand sanitisers. Terms contain both a seal-qualified pierced-jewellery restriction and an outright earring exclusion; help lists earrings without qualification. Treat earrings as non-returnable even sealed; ask customer care about your item.
  • Unsealed fragrance or grooming products, and fragrance with opened or damaged packaging.
  • Swimwear or underwear with hygiene seals removed or tickets broken; opened underwear packs are also excluded.
  • Items with a broken security sticker that warns the item cannot be returned if removed.
  • Gift cards, which cannot be returned or exchanged for cash.
  • Personalised or made-to-order goods: cancellation is barred after the confirmation email. Post-delivery custom-garment rules are unpublished; check before ordering.

These restrictions do not remove faulty-goods rights.

Reiss Refunds: How Long Do They Take?

Reiss publishes five working days for a store card return and ten for an Evri card return. Ordinary refunds go to the original payment method, with an email after receipt and processing; its refund table gives these figures:

Original payment method Store return Evri collection, ParcelShop or locker
Credit/debit card 5 working days 10 working days
PayPal 1 working day 6 working days
Gift card 5 working days 10 working days
Apple Pay 5 working days 10 working days

Reiss’s terms also describe Refund Cards, which can be used only in participating stores, not online or for cash, and expire 24 months after last use or balance check. Reiss does not say when a return is refunded this way; ordinary refunds go to the original payment method.

Reiss leaves the starting event undefined. If the published time has passed, check your card statement for a credit listed under the original purchase date, then contact Reiss. Immediate store action does not mean immediately available funds.

Clock Published detail
Return window Online: 28 days from delivery; store purchase: 28 days from purchase
Reiss receipt and processing Not published separately. Terms mention up to 7 days for a ParcelShop parcel to reach the Returns Centre
Bank/provider posting Not published separately

Do not add transit, processing and the payment table together. Reiss does not publish refund details for nextpay, split payments, cash, expired cards or gift-card reissue; ask customer care about your payment route.

Will Reiss refund the original delivery charge?

Reiss normally retains original delivery charges on ordinary returns under its general terms, unless goods are faulty or not as described. The Northern Ireland section separately says the £5.95 delivery charge is refunded when the entire charged order is returned; its wording on deductions is unclear, so confirm the net amount with customer care.

A whole-order statutory cancellation also carries a standard-delivery refund, capped at the least expensive common delivery option offered. This differs from the cost of sending goods back and depends on using the legal cancellation right explained below.

Can You Return to Reiss Without a Receipt?

Reiss publishes no voluntary no-receipt, ID-only, bank-statement-only or card-lookup route. Its store guidance refers to a Reiss receipt. Reiss’s privacy policy says you can ask for an email receipt at the till. Keep it, because Reiss publishes no way to look up a lost receipt.

For online parcels, replacement-label instructions cover missing paperwork. Reiss’s order-history notice directs shoppers to support for missing older orders. Legal faulty-goods remedies can use other proof, such as a bank statement, according to GOV.UK.

Gift receipts and returning a Reiss gift

A Reiss store gift receipt allows an eligible gift to be exchanged or refunded onto a gift card for the price paid. It does not promise money onto the recipient’s card. Gift receipts are unavailable for specified excluded categories, including opened underwear packs; check eligibility before seeking an exchange.

Exchanges at Reiss

Reiss offers no direct online exchanges: return and place a replacement order. Reiss does not promise that the same stock or the original price will still be available.

Store gift-receipt exchanges are confirmed; wider store exchange terms, fees and price protection are unpublished. Ask the branch before relying on them. Shoppers comparing tailoring retailers can compare how Charles Tyrwhitt handles returns.

Reiss directs shoppers with faulty, damaged or incorrect online items to customer assistance through chat or 0333 777 4557. Contact Reiss before booking. For faulty store purchases, bring the item and proof of purchase to a Reiss store, excluding department stores, airports and franchises; third-party purchases remain with the seller.

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 generally gives qualifying faulty goods a 30-day short-term rejection right, distinct from Reiss’s voluntary 28 days. The clock generally begins the day after possession, ownership and delivery conditions are met; requesting repair or replacement pauses it.

For lawful rejection, the trader bears reasonable return costs, excluding travel to the original possession location. Refunds are due without undue delay, within 14 days beginning when entitlement is agreed, using the same payment means unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Repair or replacement rights may apply later. Within six months, faults are generally presumed present at delivery unless rebutted or incompatible with the goods or fault. Ordinary in-store change of mind has no general statutory cancellation right: Reiss’s offer is voluntary.

This guide cannot confirm how Reiss applies conflicting wording to your order or whether an Evri fee is automatically waived for faulty goods. Check your confirmation and ask customer care; legal rights remain separate.

Your 14-day cancellation right for online orders

Eligible online purchases have cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Notify cancellation within 14 days after physical receipt, then normally send goods back within a further 14 days after notification.

Where collection has not been offered, the refund deadline is normally 14 days after returned goods or earlier dispatch evidence; otherwise regulation 34(6) uses 14 days after cancellation notice. Refunds use the same payment means unless agreed otherwise, without a reimbursement fee.

Handling beyond shop-style inspection can justify diminished-value deductions; disclosed direct return costs may fall to you. Personalised goods and sealed hygiene goods unsealed after delivery have exceptions. These legal clocks do not give everyone 28 days to wait before notifying Reiss.

Reiss Return Policy Mistakes That Cost You Money

Check these Reiss return policy pitfalls before handover:

  • Paying avoidable parcel charges: eligible online goods can go free to Reiss or UK Next stores; splitting a return into two Evri parcels doubles the method charge.
  • Taking store purchases to Next: only eligible online orders use that route.
  • Counting from collection: click-and-collect starts at delivery to the chosen store.
  • Waiting until day 27 to post: courier terms ask you to tell Reiss within 14 days, and the general deadline event is unpublished.
  • Discarding the shoe box: shoes require their original box.
  • Expecting gift-receipt cash: the supported options are exchange or a gift card for the price paid.

FAQ

Can I return Reiss sale items bought online?

Reiss includes online sale items in its 28-day policy, subject to the same product conditions and exclusions. Keep goods unused with tags attached; shoes need their original box. The clock starts at delivery to your home or chosen store, so do not count from ordering or collection.

Does the Reiss loyalty programme make returns free?

Reiss publishes no loyalty return benefit changing fees, windows or eligibility. Its privacy policy describes tiers linked to offers and gifts, which does not establish free parcel returns. Eligible online orders already have a free store route; ask customer care before assuming membership removes the Evri charge.

Can I return a Reiss gift card?

Reiss’s gift-card guidance says gift cards cannot be returned or exchanged for cash. That is different from returning eligible goods originally paid for with a gift card: the refund table includes that payment method. Reiss does not publish detailed reissue arrangements, so ask support if needed.

Why would Reiss charge £35 on a return?

Reiss reserves an investigation charge of at least £35 for returning or attempting to return substitute or alternative items. This is separate from the normal £2.50 Evri parcel charge and is not a routine restocking fee. Check that the parcel contains the actual goods being returned before sealing it.

Why can’t I see an older Reiss order in My Account?

Reiss says previous order history is not visible after its site launch and directs shoppers to support if an order is missing. Contact customer care with the order information you still have. The notice does not guarantee history restoration or waive the Reiss return policy’s eligibility and proof requirements.
