Peacocks' returns instructions set out each route; your deadline depends on how you bought, as explained next.
How Long Do You Have to Return to Peacocks?
Peacocks' returns page gives 28 days, counted by channel as follows. Peacocks' FAQ cancellation answer words it differently, counting 28 days from dispatch; use that earlier date for online orders and check your confirmation/dispatch email or ask Peacocks to confirm your deadline.
- Home delivery: from delivery.
- Click and collect: from collection.
- Store purchase: from purchase; check the return date printed on the till receipt.
Peacocks does not define calendar versus working days, inclusive counting or weekend extensions, so return a few days early. For another high-street comparison before ordering, read the New Look return policy guide.
When does the clock start for click and collect?
Peacocks' main policy starts the window when you collect, rather than when the parcel reaches the shop. The FAQ's dispatch wording would start earlier, so use that safer reading or seek confirmation. No separate voluntary rule for split deliveries is published; do not assume the final parcel restarts every item's window.
Is posting on day 28 enough?
Peacocks does not say whether posting or warehouse arrival meets its voluntary deadline. Send the parcel well before day 28 and keep proof of posting. The statutory cancellation route below has a separate, explicit dispatch rule.
Does Peacocks extend returns for Christmas 2026?
As of 29 October 2026, no 2026 Christmas returns extension was found on Peacocks' returns, FAQ, terms or Club pages. A later notice or your till receipt may still add one, so trust the return date printed on the receipt and ask Peacocks if it is unclear. Until an extension is confirmed for your purchase, work to the ordinary 28 days.
How to Return a Peacocks Order
Peacocks offers two routes for eligible web orders: free in store or paid by post. Store purchases and online orders placed through a store must go back to a store, as the current return instructions explain.
Returning to a Peacocks store
- Find a branch using the Peacocks store finder.
- Bring the eligible item with labels and packaging, plus the packing slip or order email for an online order, or till receipt for a store purchase.
- Request the refund or eligible exchange at the till. For an online card order, Peacocks processes the refund while you are there.
The returns page says any Peacocks store; the gift-card FAQ excludes concessions for gift-card-paid items. Use a standard branch for those purchases and confirm before travelling if unsure.
Returning by post with Evri or another carrier
-
Find the returns slip at the bottom of your despatch note (instructions are on the reverse) and complete it, including the return reason.
-
Repack eligible items securely with the slip inside.
-
Book through Evri's returns service, selecting Peacocks and your available drop-off or collection option, or arrange your own carrier. Peacocks recommends insurance covering the goods' value.
-
Address the parcel to the following destination from Peacocks' postal instructions:
PEACOCKS ONLINE RETURNS
Peacocks Distribution Centre
Heol Crochendy
Parc Nantgarw
Treforest Industrial Estate
Nantgarw
CF15 7QT -
Add your sender details to Peacocks' adhesive returns label if you are using it, attach any carrier label from your booking, hand over the parcel and keep proof of posting.
Evri's general printing guidance allows home printing or a Print In ParcelShop code for ParcelShop returns; lockers and home collection require a printed label. Follow the options shown during booking. Peacocks' current instructions do not specify a separate return-authorisation number or mandatory notification portal.
Orders placed in a Peacocks store
An online order placed through a Peacocks store is store-return-only. Store purchases cannot be posted either. Web click and collect is different: eligible orders can use post, with the postage cost below.
Does Peacocks Charge for Returns?
Peacocks store returns are free; ordinary postal returns are paid by the customer. Peacocks does not publish a fixed postal price, charging basis or whether a charge is deducted from the refund; obtain the carrier's quote before booking.
Return costs at a glance
| Cost | Published treatment |
|---|---|
| Store return | £0 |
| Ordinary return postage | Customer pays; quote at booking |
| Restocking or handling fee | Peacocks' pages do not list one |
| Original delivery: faulty, damaged or incorrect item | Refunded unless delivered with other items you are keeping |
| Original delivery: eligible statutory cancellation | Standard delivery refunded; express premium excluded |
| Partial/later voluntary return or click-and-collect fee | Not published; ask Peacocks before assuming reimbursement |
The returns page covers postage and faulty-delivery charges; cancellation terms cover standard-delivery reimbursement. Shoppers comparing a postal charge with a store trip can also consult the Matalan returns guide. Either route needs proof of purchase: the packing slip, order email or till receipt.
What If You've Lost the Returns Paperwork?
Peacocks allows online returns without the original paperwork. For post, enclose a sheet with your order number, billing name and billing address, and write the order number on the parcel's top-left corner; find it in the confirmation email.
For a store return, show a printed order-confirmation email or the email on your phone, following Peacocks' lost-paperwork instructions.
Store purchases without a till receipt
Peacocks says no refund or exchange for an ordinary store return without a valid till receipt. No bank-statement lookup, Club lookup or credit alternative is published; ask Peacocks about your case without assuming acceptance. The Primark receipt and returns guide offers another store-led comparison.
Faulty-goods claims can use other purchase evidence under UK law, explained below; gift returns instead need the purchaser's evidence.
Can You Return an Unwanted Gift to Peacocks?
Peacocks accepts eligible unwanted gifts with the original purchaser's receipt and proof of purchase. In store, an unwanted gift is exchange-only; by post, the refund goes to the purchaser's original payment card and the purchaser receives the emails, subject to payment-method restrictions.
The gift-return rules offer no postal exchange or credit note. A dedicated gift-receipt or recipient-cash route is not published, so obtain the purchaser's evidence before returning. Gift cards themselves are non-refundable; goods paid for with them have separate refund rules.
How Long Do Peacocks Refunds Take?
Peacocks usually quotes 3–5 working days to the card for card-paid online orders refunded in store; gift-card and Clearpay payments follow the routes below. Postal sections say processing within 7 days of receipt, while the same page's refund FAQ says 7 working days; allow up to 7 working days from warehouse arrival, then contact Peacocks.
Peacocks' refund guidance says refunds normally go to the original payment method. Each route runs through three separate clocks:
| Route | 1. Return window | 2. Peacocks processing | 3. Card/bank posting |
|---|---|---|---|
| Store: online order | 28 days from delivery/collection; FAQ says dispatch | At the till | Card payments: usually 3–5 working days |
| Store: store purchase | 28 days from purchase; receipt date | Not published | Not published |
| Post | 28 days; start wording conflicts as above | Within 7 days; refund FAQ says 7 working days after receipt | Not published |
| Clearpay | Standard applicable window | Refund through Clearpay; full refund cancels remaining instalments, partial refund adjusts them | Not published |
Will Peacocks confirm your parcel arrived?
No. Peacocks' returns page says it cannot directly confirm receipt of returned parcels. Keep proof of posting and carrier tracking as your evidence; tracking is not a retailer acknowledgement. For gifts, the refund email goes to the purchaser.
Gift card, Clearpay and LOVE2SHOP purchases
Gift-card-paid goods return as gift-card value. The warehouse refund answer promises an emailed e-gift-card link; the FAQ says the original card where possible, otherwise a refund gift card. Do not count on a particular form; ask Peacocks. For split payments, the remaining refund goes to the original payment card; PayPal part-payments are referred to PayPal's policy.
Peacocks' Clearpay help says refunds go through Clearpay, with no exchange or cash refund. Clearpay's plan terms say a full refund cancels the remaining instalments, while a partial refund adjusts them. Keep paying as your updated Clearpay schedule shows. If you need a pause while the return is processed, request it in the Clearpay app; the terms allow one pause of up to two weeks per plan.
Store purchases with LOVE2SHOP vouchers are exchange-only. Readable Peacocks pages do not publish complete Klarna or PayPal routing: contact Peacocks before returning.
Exchanges at Peacocks
Peacocks lists in-store exchanges for purchases paid by credit or debit card; postal returns produce refunds, not exchanges. Gift recipients in store and LOVE2SHOP voucher purchases are exchange-only; Clearpay purchases cannot be exchanged.
Peacocks' exchange rules do not publish how stock availability or price differences are handled, so check with the store before making a trip.
My Peacocks Club points and discounts
My Peacocks Club deducts one earned point per whole £1 refunded. Example: assume an £8.50 qualifying purchase is fully refunded with no other adjustments; eight points are deducted.
The Club terms say the 100 points redeemed for the stated 10% discount voucher are not refunded. The same page also describes the reward as £3 off, so confirm your voucher's terms rather than assuming its current value. On an eligible exchange, the Spend and Save discount is reapplied to the same number of replacement items.
Peacocks publishes no longer return window or free postage for Club members, and membership does not lift the item exclusions below.
Items Peacocks Won't Take Back
Peacocks excludes the following from voluntary returns under its returns policy:
- Underwear, except bras and vests.
- Opened or unsealed health and beauty products.
- Pierced products.
- Swimwear with the hygiene seal removed.
- Gift cards themselves.
Other online items must be unworn, unwashed and in original packaging with original labels; Peacocks may refuse goods it cannot resell. Store purchases must be in original condition. Separate store-sale deadlines, personalised/final-sale terms and accessory/hanger requirements are not published: ask before returning an unusual item. These voluntary limits do not remove faulty-goods rights.
Faulty Peacocks Items and Your UK Consumer Rights
For an incorrect, faulty or damaged delivery, use Peacocks Contact Us or 0330 124 2184. Contact Us and the Complaints Procedure list different hours; check before calling. Peacocks refunds the original delivery charge on these orders unless the item arrived with other goods you are keeping. Label, photograph, collection and handling arrangements are not published, so contact Peacocks first.
UK law, separately from Peacocks' policy: fault-free shop purchases have no automatic change-of-mind refund right, according to GOV.UK's returns guidance. For qualifying faulty, misdescribed or unfit goods, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 ordinarily gives a 30-day short-term right to reject, starting after ownership, delivery and required setup conditions are met.
Afterwards, repair or replacement may remain available, followed by price reduction or final rejection where the legal conditions apply. For these remedies, faults appearing within six months are generally presumed present at delivery unless rebutted or incompatible with the fault or goods.
For qualifying rejection, the trader bears reasonable return costs, except your costs of taking goods back in person to the place you received them. The refund is due within 14 days of agreement that you are entitled to it. Other proof, such as a bank statement, can support a statutory claim.
This guide cannot supply an unpublished postage price, faulty-label process or day-28-posting guarantee. The StoreReturners verification approach explains why missing details are flagged rather than guessed; online cancellation has its own defined deadlines.
Cancelling an online order within 14 days
For an eligible ordinary distance purchase, notify Peacocks within 14 days after the day of receipt, then send the goods back within 14 days after notifying, without undue delay. That assumes one delivery. If goods from one order arrive separately, the 14 days run from the day you receive the last item. Use Contact Us as directed by Peacocks' cancellation terms; this statutory route runs alongside the voluntary 28-day policy.
The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 allow shop-like inspection or trying on; excess handling that reduces value may justify deductions. Original packaging is not an absolute cancellation condition. Personalised goods and certain hygiene-sealed goods unsealed after delivery are excluded.
Where the trader has not offered collection, reimbursement is due within 14 days of receiving the goods or, if earlier, evidence of dispatch. Standard original delivery is included, but the express premium is not.
Peacocks Return Policy Mistakes That Cost You Money
- Posting near day 28 without evidence: acceptance is uncertain; post early and retain proof.
- Paying avoidable postage: a nearby store offers free eligible returns; check your route first.
- Posting a store purchase or store-placed online order: those routes are unsupported; take it to a store.
- Expecting cash from restricted payments: check gift-card, Clearpay and LOVE2SHOP outcomes before choosing a refund or exchange.
- Trusting old rules or a look-alike website: some older guides still quote a 14-day store window; the current returns page gives 28 days, and your till receipt shows your return date. Use www.peacocks.co.uk only.
Questions shoppers ask
Can I get a refund on Peacocks sale items?
Peacocks' returns page says online sale items can be refunded under the normal conditions, including the unworn, unwashed and hygiene rules. It publishes no separate return clock for sale items bought in a store, so check the return date on your till receipt and ask Peacocks before relying on a different deadline.
Can I return a Peacocks online order to any store?
Peacocks generally allows eligible online returns to its stores. For goods paid for with a gift card, the FAQ excludes concessions, so choose a standard branch using the store finder. Online orders placed through a store must go back to a store; they cannot use postal returns.
Will I get my delivery charge back?
Peacocks refunds delivery for faulty, damaged or incorrect items unless they arrived with other items you keep. Eligible statutory cancellations include standard delivery, excluding an express premium. Partial or later voluntary returns and click-and-collect fee refunds are not published separately; ask Peacocks which rule applies to your order.
Does My Peacocks Club give me longer to return items?
Peacocks publishes no longer return window or free-postage benefit for Club members. Use the applicable ordinary deadline and route. A refund also removes one earned Spend and Save point per whole £1 refunded, while redeemed points for the terms' stated 10% voucher are not restored.
Can I return items I paid for with Klarna or PayPal?
Peacocks' readable pages do not publish complete Klarna or PayPal return and exchange routing or provider refund times. The FAQ refers PayPal part-payments to PayPal's policy. Contact Peacocks with your order and payment details before returning rather than assuming the card-payment exchange route applies.
