Key facts
- 30 days run from receiving an online order or from purchase in a Regatta store. Items must be unworn, in original condition, with labels and tags attached.
- Evri returns cost non-members £2.95 (ParcelShop) or £3.25 (home collection) on the Returns Policy page; they are free for Regatta Rewards members. Regatta's pages mention no fee for store returns, which is not the same as a promise that they are free.
- Regatta says it refunds the original payment method within 14 days. How long your bank takes afterwards is not published.
- An online order handed in at a Regatta store is not refunded at the till: the store sends it to the warehouse first.
- Items bought from a garden centre or other stockist go back to that stockist, not to Regatta.
This guide covers Regatta, the UK outdoor-clothing brand, for orders from regatta.com and purchases in official Regatta stores. It is not about sailing events, and it relies on Regatta's UK Customer Service Hub pages, not its Rest of World or other-country pages. Shoppers comparing other retailers can start from the UK return guides hub.

How Long Do You Have to Return to Regatta?
Regatta gives 30 days. For online orders, Regatta's Returns Policy says unworn items in original condition can be returned within 30 days of receiving the order. For purchases in a Regatta store, unwanted items can be returned or exchanged up to 30 days after purchase.
Regatta does not publish three details:
- whether the 30 days are calendar days;
- whether the day of delivery or purchase counts;
- which action must happen inside the 30 days: starting in the portal, dropping the parcel off, the courier collection, or arrival at the warehouse.
The safe action is to drop the parcel off or book the collection a few days before day 30.
Example: assume an order is delivered on 10 November 2026. Thirty days runs into the second week of December 2026, but because Regatta does not publish its counting rule, aiming to drop off in the first days of December leaves a margin. This is an illustration, not an exact deadline.
Shoppers comparing outdoor retailers can see how Mountain Warehouse's return window differs before buying waterproofs or walking gear.
When does the 30-day clock start?
For an online order the clock starts when you receive it. Regatta does not say how receipt is evidenced, so keep the delivery email. For a store purchase it starts on the purchase date. At least one third-party guide quotes 28 days; Regatta's own pages say 30.
Does Regatta extend returns for Christmas 2026?
No UK Christmas or seasonal extension was published on Regatta's UK help pages as of 29 October 2026. Regatta's Rest of World returns section shows an extension for gifts bought in the run-up to Christmas, with no year stated; it does not appear on the UK help pages. Ask Regatta to confirm before relying on it for a UK order. Third-party sites quote other UK dates; do not rely on them.
Assume the standard 30 days applies and check the Returns Policy page again in November. Inside that window, what a return costs depends on the route and on Regatta Rewards membership.
Does Regatta Charge for Returns?
Non-members pay for Evri returns, Regatta Rewards members return free, and Regatta's pages mention no fee for store returns. The last point is not a guarantee that store returns are free.
The Returns Policy page and the Return an online order page give £2.95 for an Evri ParcelShop drop-off and £3.25 for home collection. Regatta's Refund status page instead lists £3.80 and £4.15. The pages word it differently and no effective date says which is newer.
| Method | Returns Policy page | Refund status page | Rewards members |
|---|---|---|---|
| Evri ParcelShop drop-off (QR code) | £2.95 | £3.80 | Free |
| Evri home collection | £3.25 | £4.15 | Free |
The safe action is to check the price shown in the returns portal before you pay, and to budget for up to £4.15 if you book a collection. If the portal and the pages disagree, Regatta's email or live chat can confirm the amount.
Regatta does not say whether the Evri fee is paid at booking or deducted from the refund, whether it applies per parcel or per item, or whether any restocking fee exists. Shoppers weighing paid courier returns against store hand-ins can compare Next's £2.50 courier fee and free store returns.
Are returns free for Regatta Rewards members?
Yes, according to the Return an online order page. The Returns Policy page does not mention the exemption, and Regatta's membership terms were not found, so it is not published whether the benefit covers both Evri methods. Check that the portal shows £0 before you confirm.
Original delivery charge refunds
Regatta's UK pages do not say. For context, standard UK delivery by Evri costs £3.95, and is free for members or on orders over £60.
Separately, GOV.UK says that when you cancel an online order under the statutory 14-day right, the seller must refund standard delivery. That is the law, not a statement of Regatta's practice on a 30-day return.
How to Return a Regatta Order
Regatta separates three purchase routes: regatta.com, official Regatta stores, and third-party retailers or concessions. Each section below follows the same order: who it is for, steps, cost, refund, link. The contact line for all routes: Regatta's contact page lists email, which Regatta aims to answer within 48 hours, and live chat (09:00–17:00 Monday to Friday, 10:00–16:00 weekends). No phone number is published there.
By Evri through Regatta's returns portal
This route is for regatta.com orders.
- Check the item is unworn and in its original condition, with all labels and tags intact.
- Open the returns portal from the Return an online order page.
- Choose Evri ParcelShop (QR code) or Evri home collection.
- Pack the item in any secure packaging with the returns form, and write the return reason on the form. If the form is lost, Regatta says to put a note in the parcel with your name, order number and item details.
- Keep the drop-off or collection confirmation until the refund email arrives, and track the parcel until it reaches Regatta.
Cost: £2.95 or £3.25 for non-members, free for Rewards members. Refund: within 14 days to the original payment method. This guide does not describe the portal's screens.
Taking an online order to a Regatta store
Only official Regatta high-street stores accept online-order returns; stockists and concessions do not. Bring your receipt or proof of purchase; Regatta does not say which documents count for an online order. The store does not refund you at the till: it sends the item to the warehouse, and Regatta refunds within 14 days of warehouse processing. Find a branch with Regatta's store locator and read the In Store Return page first.
Returning something you bought in a Regatta store
Take it back to a Regatta store within 30 days with a receipt or proof of purchase. Regatta refunds within 14 days, or you can exchange it. Regatta's pages mention no fee for this route.
Items bought from a stockist or garden centre
Return it to the place you bought it. Regatta says items ordered from its website cannot go back to stockists, concessions or third-party retailers, and its warehouse accepts direct returns only for website orders. Faulty stockist items also go back to the stockist. Readers who bought outdoor kit from another UK sports retailer need that retailer's own rules, such as the Sports Direct return policy.
Every route above applies only to items that meet Regatta's condition rules.
What Can't You Return to Regatta?
Regatta accepts only unworn items in original condition. According to its Returns Policy, the following are not accepted:
- items received more than 30 days ago;
- worn or used items;
- opened or unsealed items, other than to inspect them;
- items without original packaging or labels;
- swimwear, lingerie, briefs and stick-on bras with the hygiene seal removed;
- personal care products (Regatta does not say whether only opened ones are excluded).
Regatta publishes no specific rule for sale or clearance items, personalised items or footwear boxes. Absent is not the same as returnable, so ask before buying. The hygiene rule mirrors a statutory exception: GOV.UK says sealed goods that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons once opened, and personalised items, are excluded from the online cancellation right.
Can You Return to Regatta Without a Receipt?
Regatta's store-return pages require a receipt or proof of purchase and publish no alternative: no account lookup, gift receipt or ID route. For online orders returned in a store, Regatta does not say which documents count as proof of purchase.
The lost-returns-form note is a different matter. It applies to posted parcels, not a lost receipt. Whether staff can help without any proof is up to Regatta and is not published, so contact Regatta before travelling to a store.
Regatta Refund Times: The Three Clocks
Regatta says it refunds the original payment method within 14 days and emails you when the refund is processed. That is only one of three separate stages.
| Stage | What Regatta publishes |
|---|---|
| Return window | 30 days (online: from receipt; store: from purchase) |
| Regatta processing | Within 14 days. Trigger by route: Evri collection = from collection; Evri drop-off or post = see below; store purchase = with proof of purchase; online order via a store = from warehouse processing |
| Bank or card posting | Not published |
For posted parcels the pages word the trigger differently. The Returns Policy page counts 14 days from drop-off or posting; the Refund status page and the online-return FAQ count from courier collection or, for posted parcels, from arrival at the warehouse. The safe action is to expect the 14 days to run from warehouse arrival and to keep the Evri receipt or QR confirmation until the refund email arrives. Regatta also does not say whether the 14 days are calendar or working days. The refund email, or Regatta's contact team, can confirm the refund date for your order.
Refunds for online orders handed in at a store
Because the store forwards the item to the warehouse, the refund is not processed in store. Allow time for the parcel to reach the warehouse, because the 14 days run from warehouse processing.
Cancelled orders are different
The release times on Regatta's pages apply to cancelled items, not returns: pending funds for card, Apple Pay and Google Pay within 10 working days, PayPal within 48 hours and Klarna within 5 working days. Regatta has no direct exchange for online orders, so a refund is also how an online swap starts.
Exchanges at Regatta
Regatta online orders cannot be exchanged directly: return for a refund and place a new order. If the size may sell out, order the replacement early, since the refund comes only after the return is processed. Items bought in a Regatta store can be exchanged in any Regatta store within 30 days with a receipt or proof of purchase.
Faulty Regatta Items and Your Consumer Rights
For a faulty item, contact Regatta so it can resolve the problem and give return instructions. Regatta says it reviews the fault and offers a full refund for faulty items bought directly from its website, and that it does not offer a monetary refund unless the item was bought directly from Regatta via the website. Faulty items from third-party retailers go back to that retailer. According to the Product guarantees page, the guarantee excludes misuse, accidents, alterations, improper care, abnormal wear and tear, and use other than the item's recommended purpose; the Returns Policy page also lists neglect.
For a delivery problem or missing items, Regatta's UK delivery page says to contact Regatta, and to use the Evri app for Evri parcels.
How long is Regatta's product guarantee?
Regatta's pages disagree. The Returns Policy page and the online-return FAQ say 12 months; the Product Guarantees page says 2 years. Isotex apparel is 3 years on both. Isotex footwear is 1 year on the Returns Policy page and is not listed on the Product Guarantees page.
For planning, treat the guarantee as 12 months and report a fault as soon as it appears. Regatta customer service, with your order number, can confirm which applies. Statutory rights run separately.
Your UK legal rights, separate from Regatta's policy
This is a summary of GOV.UK and Citizens Advice guidance, not Regatta policy.
- Online purchases: Citizens Advice says you can cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving a reason, then have another 14 days to send them back. The seller refunds within 14 days of getting the goods back or proof of posting, whichever is first. Standard delivery is refunded; if the seller did not say who pays return postage, Citizens Advice says the seller must refund it. Citizens Advice's page covers England; it has separate pages for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
- In a shop: there is no automatic legal right to a refund for a change of mind. Regatta's 30 days for store purchases is a voluntary policy.
- Faulty goods: GOV.UK says a seller must repair or replace an item returned within 6 months unless it can prove the item was not faulty at purchase, and claims can be made for up to 6 years (5 in Scotland).
This guide cannot confirm the returns portal's steps, how the Evri fee is charged or how long banks take. The binding answer for a given order comes from Regatta; see how StoreReturners checks policies.
Regatta Return Policy Mistakes That Cost You Money
- Working to 28 days. At least one third-party guide says 28; Regatta's pages say 30 days. Use 30, and return early.
- Taking a regatta.com order to a stockist. Garden centres and other stockists cannot take web orders back. Use Evri or a Regatta store.
- Expecting an instant refund at a store. An online order handed in at a Regatta store goes to the warehouse first.
- Paying the Evri fee unchecked. Check Regatta Rewards status, and check the portal's price given the two published fee sets.
- Leaving it to day 29 or 30. Regatta does not say which action meets the deadline, so act earlier.
- Removing tags, seals or packaging first. Decide before you open or wear anything.
- Planning around other Christmas dates. Rest of World or third-party dates are not UK evidence.
Questions shoppers ask
Can I return a Regatta jacket I've worn outdoors?
Not for a change of mind. Regatta's 30-day returns require items to be unworn and in original condition, with labels and tags attached. A fault is a separate route: contact Regatta, which reviews it and gives return instructions. The guarantee excludes misuse, accident, alterations, improper care and wear and tear.
Can I return Regatta swimwear or underwear?
Only with the hygiene seal intact. Regatta's Returns Policy lists swimwear, lingerie, briefs and stick-on bras as not returnable once the hygiene seal has been removed. GOV.UK describes a similar statutory exception for sealed goods that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons once opened, with underwear as an example.
Can I return Regatta sale items?
Regatta publishes no sale-specific rule on the pages checked, so the standard conditions apply: unworn, original condition, labels and tags attached, within 30 days. Because the absence of an exclusion is not a promise that sale items qualify, ask Regatta before buying if the item matters.
I used a promo code. How much will Regatta refund?
Regatta's Refund status page says that if an item was discounted with a promo code, the refund is the price you paid for that product after the discount. The refund therefore reflects what you actually paid, not the list price.
How do I contact Regatta about a return?
Regatta's contact page offers email, which it aims to answer within 48 hours, and live chat from 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday and 10:00 to 16:00 at weekends. No phone number is published on the pages checked. Have your order number ready when you write.
