Superdry Return Policy UK: Deadlines, Postage and Refunds

The Superdry return policy covers superdry.com and official-store purchases. Eligible online orders, in original condition with tags, return free at official UK stores or by post for £2.45. Superdry's pages give different deadlines, so tell customer service you're cancelling within 14 days of delivery, keep a copy of that message, then return through its portal or a store.

How Long Do You Have to Return to Superdry?

The Superdry pages checked for this guide don't establish one current UK deadline. Tell Superdry you're cancelling within 14 calendar days of delivery. Superdry's UK terms direct cancellation notices to customer service, so send it a clear message that you're cancelling, even if you also register the return in the portal, and keep a copy.

Superdry's pages word it differently: the UK terms describe notification within 14 working days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations; an alternative terms version offers 28 days after receipt; an older, undated returns form says return within 28 days. Neither longer wording is a confirmed current UK promise.

Separately, GOV.UK's distance-selling guidance explains the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 cancellation sequence:

  1. Notify cancellation within 14 calendar days, counted from the day after delivery.
  2. Send the goods back within 14 days after notifying.

Superdry doesn't publish how its voluntary period is counted, when it starts, or whether registering, dispatching or arrival meets it, so keep posting proof.

Is the Superdry return window 14 or 28 days?

Neither is confirmed as Superdry's current UK rule; 14 calendar days is the legal minimum for online orders, so it is the safe figure.

Document What it says Status
UK terms Notify within 14 working days, citing the Regulations Current UK page; wording differs from the legal calendar-day rule
Alternative terms 28 days after receipt Market/version applicability unresolved
Older returns form Return within 28 days Undated legacy wording
UK Help Centre returns article Couldn't be read on 29 October 2026 Current article wording unavailable

If the portal shows a deadline for your order, follow it; otherwise ask customer service. Store purchases need separate confirmation.

Returning something you bought in a Superdry store

Superdry doesn't publish a verified store-purchase return window. An in-person change-of-mind refund generally depends on store policy, as GOV.UK explains. Return as soon as possible with your receipt, and ask the store about seasonal arrangements.

Is there a Superdry Christmas 2026 return extension?

Superdry's Black Friday page says it currently has extended returns for holiday shopping, but as of 29 October 2026 it gives no qualifying purchase dates, final return date or exclusions. Ask customer service to confirm the date for your order before relying on January; meanwhile, tell Superdry you're cancelling within 14 days of delivery. Dates on a Superdry product sold by another retailer belong to that seller.

Superdry Return Methods: Store or Post?

A nearby official UK Superdry store saves the £2.45 postal charge before travel costs. Superdry's returns policy allows online orders through the portal or official stores in the country of purchase.

Return to an official Superdry store

Eligible direct UK online orders can go back free to official UK stores. Use the UK store directory, take the item and order confirmation, and retain tags and packaging. Portal registration before visiting isn't specified; check before travelling. Concessions and franchises can't take these online returns.

Return by post through the Superdry returns portal

Direct online shoppers can use the recommended postal service for £2.45, according to Superdry's UK terms.

  1. Open the official returns portal.
  2. Have your order details ready and enter what the portal requests.
  3. Follow the options shown for your order and, if a price is shown, check it before confirming.
  4. Pack the item neatly, in original condition with tags retained.
  5. Obtain and keep proof of posting.

Superdry's UK terms and returns policy don't give carriers, drop-off points, label rules or a home-collection return method. Follow your portal instructions; if anything is unclear, ask customer service. Don't reuse an old form's route.

Returning from outside the UK

Superdry's UK help article on return postage says you arrange and pay for postage from outside the UK and recommends a tracked service.

Superdry items bought from ASOS, Next or other sellers

Superdry's direct online seller is Supergroup Internet Limited. Purchases from ASOS, Next, duty-free or other sellers need that seller's rules: use the Next return policy guide for Next purchases or the ASOS returns guide for ASOS orders. Check the seller before comparing costs.

Does Superdry Charge for Returns?

Superdry's UK terms give free official-store returns and £2.45 postage using the recommended service. Older guides and forms still mention free Collect+ returns; that is legacy wording. Expect £2.45 by post; check any price the portal shows before you confirm. Ask customer service if anything is unclear.

Superdry doesn't publish whether £2.45 applies per item, order or parcel, or whether it is paid upfront or deducted. Label-reissue and restocking fees aren't specified either; check the quoted charge before proceeding.

Example: Assume an eligible UK online order, an official store nearby and the recommended postal service. The store costs £0 versus £2.45 by post: a £2.45 difference before travel costs. Eligibility still depends on the item's condition.

What Condition Do Superdry Returns Need to Be In?

Superdry requires original condition, but its terms allow ordinary shop-like inspection and trying on. Keep the item ready for return:

  • Retain tags and hygiene seals.
  • Keep packaging neat.
  • As a precaution, return everything supplied, unwashed.

Superdry's UK terms say it may claim for loss in value or damage beyond the handling needed to inspect the item. If you cancel and don't send the goods back, Superdry says it may collect them at your cost; this liability is separate from the £2.45 postal fee and is not a restocking fee.

Superdry doesn't detail separate rules for accessories, shoe boxes or washed items; ask before returning an item with missing packaging.

Underwear, swimwear and cosmetics

Superdry's pages word it differently: the UK terms list underwear and swimwear as excluded; the short returns policy accepts underwear, swimwear and cosmetics only sealed in original packaging; the alternative terms refer to opened packaging or broken hygiene strips.

Keep seals and strips intact. Expect unsealed items to be refused; sealed items still aren't guaranteed acceptance, so confirm with the portal or customer service. GOV.UK describes unsealed hygiene goods as a cancellation exception, while faulty-item rights remain separate from these change-of-mind exclusions.

Items Superdry Won't Take Back for a Change of Mind

Superdry's UK terms exclude:

  • Personalised, tailored or altered items.
  • Gift cards and e-gift cards themselves: they can't be cancelled, exchanged or swapped for cash.
  • Hygiene items, subject to the conflicting conditions above.

Superdry doesn't publish vintage and final-sale category restrictions; ask before assuming eligibility. These exclusions don't remove faulty-goods rights.

Superdry Refunds: How Long Do They Take?

For cancellations, Superdry's UK terms promise a refund within 14 days of receiving the goods or your proof of posting, whichever happens first. Superdry's UK terms don't give ordinary warehouse processing or bank posting times.

Money reaches your account Not published for cards, PayPal, Klarna, Clearpay or wallets UK refund guidance unavailable

The GOV.UK refund deadline concerns issuing the refund, not a bank-posting estimate. Supplying posting proof can start Superdry's contractual clock before warehouse arrival.

Refunds use the original payment method, except gift-card-funded purchases, explained below. Superdry's UK terms don't give store-refund timing or gift-card reissue time; ask customer service.

Customer credit and mixed payments

Superdry's customer-credit terms treat the credit portion separately: the amount above the credit used returns to your other original payment method.

Separately, Superdry refunds goods paid for with a gift card or e-gift card to a new gift card or e-gift card. With mixed payments, the other payment method is refunded first, up to the amount originally paid that way, and any excess goes to a new card. Without the transaction receipt, Superdry uses the product's current value.

Sale items and discount codes

Superdry refunds sale items at the discounted price paid. Its EXTRA10 offer, running from 29 October 2026 at 00:01 GMT to 1 November 2026 at 23:59 GMT, retains the normal returns policy under the sale terms.

Example: Assume an eligible item cost £45 after discounts. Superdry refunds £45, not the original ticket price.

Can You Exchange a Superdry Order?

Superdry doesn't publish a confirmed current UK exchange rule. Its pages word it differently: the UK terms omit exchanges, the alternative terms reject postal exchanges in favour of refund-and-reorder, and the older form offered postal size or colour exchanges.

The safe route is to return for a refund and reorder; check stock first because it may sell out. Ask the store about exchanges, which Superdry's UK terms don't cover, and keep proof of purchase.

Can You Return to Superdry Without a Receipt?

Superdry's UK terms and returns policy don't give a general no-receipt, ID-only or card-lookup route for change-of-mind returns. Keep your online order confirmation; ask customer service what evidence it needs if yours is missing. The only no-receipt rule in Superdry's UK terms is the gift-card-funded valuation above; it is not a general no-receipt route.

For statutory claims, such as faulty goods, GOV.UK accepts other purchase evidence, including a bank statement. That doesn't establish Superdry's voluntary no-receipt policy or gift rules.

Superdry gift returns and gift receipts

Superdry's gift-receipt rule couldn't be verified because the help article didn't load. Ask the gift giver to start with the order details or contact customer service, particularly if the gift is faulty.

Faulty Superdry Items and Your UK Consumer Rights

For faulty or incorrect online goods, contact Superdry customer service with order and fault details for instructions. Keeping photos is a practical tip, not a published Superdry evidence requirement.

Superdry's UK terms offer a refund or replacement within one year of purchase in most cases. Superdry's UK terms don't give a UK faulty-return label, inspection turnaround or damaged-on-arrival checklist; ask before posting.

Separately, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 provides a 30-day short-term right to reject faulty goods, followed by repair or replacement remedies, as Citizens Advice explains. GOV.UK confirms warranty expiry doesn't end statutory rights. The one-year offer doesn't cap those rights.

What this guide can't confirm

Superdry's UK Help Centre articles didn't load when checked on 29 October 2026, leaving carriers, refund speeds, general receipt requirements and gift-receipt rules unverified. Those details are excluded rather than borrowed from other markets. Read how StoreReturners checks official pages and labels unpublished details.

Superdry Return Policy Mistakes That Cost You Money

  • Paying £2.45 postage without checking whether an official store is convenient.
  • Taking an online order to a concession or franchise.
  • Counting on 28 days without confirming your order's deadline.
  • Opening hygiene seals before deciding to keep the item.
  • Discarding posting proof that can start the cancellation refund clock.
  • Expecting the full ticket price for discounted goods, or sending an ASOS/Next purchase to Superdry.

Questions shoppers ask

Do Superdry Insider members get longer returns or free postage?

Superdry doesn't publish an Insider return extension or postal-fee waiver. Use the standard published routes as your starting point: free official-store returns or £2.45 recommended postage. Ask customer service about any account-specific benefit before relying on extra time or a waived charge.

Will Superdry refund my delivery charge?

Superdry's terms include original delivery in a qualifying full cancellation refund. GOV.UK says standard delivery must be refunded; the premium upgrade difference needn't be. Superdry doesn't publish partial-order delivery refunds or broader premium-delivery rules, so don't assume returning one item refunds the whole order's postage.

Can I post back something I bought in a Superdry store?

Superdry doesn't publish whether physical-store purchases can be posted back. Take the item and receipt to a store as soon as possible, or ask customer service first. The online returns portal's existence doesn't establish a postal route for a purchase made in person.

What if the Superdry returns portal won't accept my return?

Contact Superdry promptly through its official customer-service route and retain evidence of when you notified it. For an eligible distance cancellation, the legal right depends on timely notification within 14 calendar days, rather than portal acceptance. Superdry's voluntary registration, dispatch and arrival requirements remain unconfirmed; request order-specific instructions.

Does Superdry charge a restocking fee?

Superdry doesn't publish a restocking fee. That isn't confirmation that every return has no further charge: the published recommended postal charge is £2.45, while official-store returns are free. If the portal shows a charge, check it before confirming; the Superdry return policy doesn't publish how the postal fee is collected.
